Back Label, translated from Polish: Perła Miodowa perfectly joins hop bitterness as known by the beer lovers with the natural honey sweetness directly from the Lublin land. Try and taste the honey interpretation of Perła Chmielowa (Hop Perl). Naturally hazy.

Aroma of honey and lager beer. The taste is reminding me of a mix of lager beer and mead. A little sweet finish.

500ml light brown bottle, filtered, from local Polish supermarket. Pleasant honey flavour in an otherwise fairly dull pale lager. There is little evidence of the 6% abv, and feels very light. Easy drinking and pleasant enough.

Where and how: b 500 ml.
Aroma mild bitter skunk up front. Very faint hint of honey.
Appearance :
Top: medium plus white creamy top. Long lasting.
Base: clear gold.
Palate : medium fuller bodied, slick with honey texture.
Taste: quiet sweet. Straight forward sweet honey. Not much beyond that.
Other notes simple honey lager. Bonus points for honey that feels authentic.

Perla Honey (Miodowa) has a very thick, frothy, off-white head, a clear, yellow-golden appearance, and thin lacing left behind. The aroma is faint, but one can pick up some lager, yeast, and honey sweetness with a deep inhalation. Taste is very "honey forward" with a standard Euro-lager undertaste. Bitterness basically plays no role, here, aside from rounding purposes. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Perla Honey finishes crisp and refreshing. Oddly, the front of the bottle said "6% alcohol", but the back said, "5% alcohol". Tasted like 5%, to me. RJT

Bottle. Golden with a small head. Sweet in a gentle way. Not very complex but not threatening and easy to drink.

50cl Bottle from Costa. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of honey, paper, malt, aspartame, aluminium. Flavour of honey, malts, in the middle a cheap nasty sweetness, liquid sugar and honey, papery bitter finish. Light bodied. Not very nice.

Bottled, 500ml from The New International Store, Banbury, Oxon. Hazed gold with short white head. This was a saccharin sweet beer with rather a large dose of honey. Sticky, cloying. I couldn’t get through all 500ml so handed it over. Yuck.

Treściwe i niestety zbyt słodkie. Kolor złoty ale piana dno. Niby rolniczy region ta lubelszczyzna ale miodek coś sztucznie zaciaga.

Bottled. Golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, grains, some grass and mild notes of honey. Flavour is honey, grass, mild grainy notes as well as some breadiness. Balanced and quite nice, although a bit on the grainier side of things.

500ml bottle. Gold pour, white head, some meager lacing. Aroma is hops, staleish malt, and grape juice. Flavor has honey sweetness and some metallic character. No doubt every ingredient is not listed. IT tastes fine for a honey-flavored beer but don’t expect a crisp lager.
