Tasted on 19.05.16. Unpleasant malty aroma with some cooked corn. Medium head quickly disappearing to thin layer. Clear golden colour. Unpleasant malty taste with awful metal and alcoholic bitterness. Hardly drinkable.

Pours a clear golden with a moderate white head. Aroma is boiled grain and a hint of vegetables. Taste is sweet pale malt, white bread, a metallic character, boiled corn and phenol. Some alcohol warmth after the swallow. Well, it does say it’s malt liquor, and that’s what it tastes like. A bit more character than US malt liquors.

Aromat s?odowy, jakie? orzechy, potem wychodzi diacetyl. W smaku tak samo, nie?le zamaskowany alkohol.

Can. Abbey Stop Shop, Sheffield. Typical looks. Nose has plenty of grassy hop. Some sugary malts. Some caramel. Taste is caramel sweet. Not a lot else. Fairly smooth. A bit of diesel slickness. Trace of bitterness on the finish. Drinkable.

Jak na mocnego lagera jest całkiem ok. Aromat nijaki, wygląd też, a w smaku trochę za słodko.

500 ml can. Clear golden with nice white head. In aroma old hops, socks but also burnt raisins. Taste nice, alcohol well hidden, very drinkable, light body with maltines and hint of hoppy bitterness.

Typical Eastern European strong ’alcoholics’ lager’ from a can picked up at a Polish night shop. Thick, creamy, dense, lacing, snow white head, cristal clear golden blonde colour with strong fizz. Aroma of soaked corn, very strong ’can iron’, old books, sweaty grains, hint of grass. Neutral taste with strong minerally carbo, simple and very grainy, as well as very metallic middle phase with a hint of sweetish corn, surprisingly light body, more or less neutral finish with a brief suggestion of grassy hops without true bitterness, but bizarrely the alcohol stays hidden. Metallic, grainy flavour lingers. Cheap and expectedly not good, but it did strike me how the alcohol has been kept remarkable well in the background seen its strength, paired with light body and low sweetness, and in that respect not the worst one I had in this particular style.

Golden, no head. Faint aroma and taste of malt, honey, wet grain. Tiring brew.
