Bottle. Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, cookie), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of honey, Juicy Fruit gum, dried mango, banana, alcohol. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Full body, velvety/creamy texture, soft carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Really nice aroma that reminds me quite a bit of Stille Nacht...very fruity and candyish with lots of layers. Super sweet in the mouth, though, with just barely enough bitterness and alcohol to make it drinkable. And that is a surprise, actually, that the alcohol is so mild relative to its being 13%. Shared a small bottle with a friend and could just barely drink my half. Better balance could make this recipe a real delight, though.

Bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner kompakten leicht beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch kräftig malzig, fruchtig, leicht alkoholisch. Geschmack sehr malzig, reife Früchte, leicht holzig, hopfig, alkoholisch, schwer zu trinken.

330ml bottle contract brewed in Belgium by de Rocs (hence, my purchase) with U.S. and New Zealand hops for La Perle (France). Pours medium amber with a massive and durable bone-colored head that leaves plenty of sticky lacing. Aroma: somewhat complex, with some fruit, a good bit of dark bread, and faint spices. Flavor: complex and dynamic. Very sweet mid-taste, but some dark malts and hops kick in by the finish to save it from being cloying. A bit boozy, but not bad for 13% ABV. O: interesting strong beer.

bottle with many thanks to jaghana! Hazy golden with a white head. Quite complex aroma: fruity, spicy with wine. Full-bodied, the alcohol content is well hidden. Spices (clove, ginger), dried fruit and a vinous touch. Complex and very, very good.

33cl bottle bb2018, merci jaghana! A French World Tour in a beer recipe, at least that is the idea... Outcome is a very weird indeed blend of Belgian tripel-palate: dense, not necessarily syrupy, but opaque in its adjuncted pale maltiness. Medicinal notes of condensed ginger and a herbal mix faintly reminiscent of Jägermeister, whereas the fruity notes are those of Gewürztraminer. Feel like it would have been better to wait, age and share this - as this was a world party in my mouth and the guests were shouting in all directions at once...

Shared a 33cl bottle. Pours a hazy orangish yellow colour with a fluffy off-white head. A lot of sediment left in the bottle but some mixed with the liquid. Aroma is fruity, orange, caramel and malty. Sweet with belgian yeast. Average carbonation and medium oily body. The 13% ABV is not noticeable at all. Taste is more bitter than sweet with some sour notes. Overall, a very drinkable beer.

Bottle 33cl, a cloudy copper orange beer with good head. Nose is on orange notes and candied fruits, pine. Aroma is very sweet, malty and caramel like, again orange notes, candied fruits, honey, light spicy notes, mandarine, some white vine notes. Alcohol is well hidden, belgian yeast profile, pleasant with long fruit aftertaste.
