RSRIZZO (1855) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - NOV 26, 2007
Had on 9/9/2002 and was labeled as Boom Czech Beer. Aroma is a rich sweet malt scent. Color is a deep gold with good carbonation and thin head. Taste is like a rich European Pilsner. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a light sweet feel. Finish is a full malt flavor with a mild bitterness in the end. Overall its a good and easy drinking Pilsener.

bottle labeled Boom Czech Beer. light orange pour with rising bubbles to thin spotty head. wheat, grain, lemon, mild caramel, sweaty gym sock aroma. metallic, sour, bad fruit, mild yeast, dry bitter finish. very poor beer. I paid less than $3 and that was too much.

golden yellow colour, pours an enormous head, which stays in the glass for quite a while. Well-balanced, bitter-sweet and very malty beer.

Bottled. A golden beer with a nice white head. Both the aroma and the flavor are sweet with an OK malt profile, and a strawy hop note. The body is a bit thin.

Bottle: Golden coloured, medium-sized, rocky, stable head, lively carbonation; delicate sweet-malty nose with a tinge of barley and an aromatic, grassy hopbitterness; first rather sweet, later moderate bitter flavour, solid malty base, a bit oily, medium bodied; short, stronger sweetish-malty-bitter finish. A good, rather sweet but pleasant Bohemian Pilsener..............

I got a bottle of this in Kansas City. The body is medium gold with a bright white head. The aroma has some sweet apples along with a hint of sweat of some leathery balsamic vinegar. The taste has some sweet glazed donuts. There is also some grainy notes of whole wheat bread. There is a hint of funky dryness in the finish. A little thin.

Slightly cloudy darkish golden with a small white head. Very bready aroma, with some stewed fruit and grassy hops. Flavour is uninteresting and one-dimensional, with light malt flavours and a slight yeastiness. Too thin in the body, although the finish is clean and satisfying

From a 500 ml. euro brown bottle with no freshness date. Poured a hazy copperish amber with a foamy head that quickly settled into a fine lacing. Aromas of sweet breads with a touch of honey, spicy and a bit grassy. Low carbonation and barely crisp, watery smooth medium bodied mouthfeel, for me, the carbonation is too low. Sweet bready and honey malt taste, some metallic qualities as well, watery spicy hop with hints of grassiness and dryish watery spicy and sweet malty finish. The drinkability is pretty average at best. There was no freshness date on the bottle, but I am wondering if this was past it’s best before date.
