Pouring a deep golden body with a large bubbled head that vanishes rapidly, this has a sweet malt, worty like aroma. Thick mouthfeel. The flavor is bready and sweet with a very light grassy hopping. Sweet sticky finish. Drinkable.

Medium golden. Moderately bready malt aroma, kiss of hops, traces of cardboard. Light to medium bodied, medium bitterness, little in the way of late hops. Sweet finish with a very light hoppiness. Another mediocre czech pils.

Dark golden color, little white head. Cardboard and sweetness in aroma, mild butter also. Thin to medium bodied. Cardboard, butter, sweetness also in flavor, some skunky tones. Aftertaste has some hops.

tiggmtl (4548) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 28, 2005
Toasted malts, citrus, herbal hops and some some floral notes in the aroma. Clear golden coloured body with a low but lasting white head that recedes with some lacing. Very soft, doughy, toasty malt character with floral, herbal, minty hop flavours and fair finishing bitterness. Light-medium body with moderate carbonation that is moderately engaging and effervescent. Simple, straight-forward and very tasty. Bottle (BB141005) sampled with MartinT, Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.

Urine color with fleeting off-white head. Lots of particles floating in gentle carbonation.Malty and hoppy with a touch of apple. Weak and watery. Flavor and aroma were unpleasant but not in the sense that the bottle was skunked.

OlivierMTL (711) - Quebec, CANADA - AUG 27, 2005

Clear golden hue shows only a small fading white head, a state which contrasts with the goodness of this product. A pleasant pils malt display that procures the toasted notes I look for in the style without spare. Hay and straw like, fresh, grassy, floral, herbal. This feels pretty much like a textbook version. Despite the heavy filtering, the yeast can’t be overshadowed completely and leaves a doughy signature that procures some depth to this otherwise unpretentious beer. Great mouthfeel, the small bubbles make for a crisp and engaging carbonation despite the global thinness. Simple, refreshing and authentic example that does everything right, but nothing grand.

The Lure:
Toasted malts proliferate into fresh bread crusts and earth. Straightforward, nearly hopless, but some quality extraction must reside within.

The Festivities:
As suggested in the aroma, toasted malts are indeed luxurious, and trail off into enticing dryness and earthiness. Finishes softly, with a brushing hop bitterness. Some mineral nature to it, but diluted into the able maltiness.

Transcendence:
A fresh baguette won’t stir the senses too much, but it will definitely waken the stomach.

Jedsbrew (465) - Rhineland, Missouri, USA - JUL 8, 2005
Poured a fairly rich golden color with a durable head and a nondescript malty aroma. Light bodied with a thin sweet caramely flavor and a not too beerlike bitterness. No bottling date info-approach with caution.

Pours golden with a good sized white head. Aroma is that of a typical pale lager. Taste is a little to light for my liking. Slightly herbaceous, but not much else. Not my favorite beer.
