smelled a malty/mildly skunky smell. poured a dark golden color with a fizzy head. The taste as very watery at first but as a drank more I could taste some malty notes in the beginning and a very mild and bitter finish. Judging from the ratings i also am thinking this is the "premium lager" that is on the bottle.

Pretty standard faire for a Czech lager. Yellow, fizzy, light bubbly head. It has the usual dry maltiness to it. Decent at best.

Struggled to get a head on this beer and a lame one at that. Spicey aroma with a bit of earth/peat. Color is a medium orange/gold. Flavor is slightly sweet and pretty bland. Finish is a bit zesty with some hops presence. An ok imported lager but nothing special.

Dark urine color; no head; grassy nose. Slight sweetness. Not a huge mouth presence.

Bottled. Nice easy drinking lager. Nothing special. Had worse. Had better.

Thin head, golden color, and much like an American Standard a sweet aftertaste. Good budget beer that you can pawn off to your macro drinking friends.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2005 Rerate Poured with a nice thick creamy white head - dissipated quickly and left no lacing. Pleasant orangeish appearance. Kind of a sweet, biscuity aroma with a malty undertone. Flavor has a bit of honey sweetness overlaying the malt. Kind of deadens as it nears the end - nothing really exciting going on here. Typical Eastern European Lager/Pilsener.Original 2.9 Odd flavors - reminds me of Baltika (Russian) beer I had a while back. Specimen look to the pour. Kind of a sweet aftertaste that is not unpleasant - kind of a yeast malty twang to it. Aroma - a bit like unrefined wort - like walking through a big brewery. Nothing to write home about - but not offensive.

Nice malty aroma. Sweet, malty with some veggie/earthy/peaty undertones. Strong hop kick on the backend, with grainy finish. Good bottle, lousy label, distressing specimen-colored beer. Deep cloudy gold with flocculent bits of yeast.

I actually got some odd coca-cola flavors and aromas out of this one. The rest was basic Bohemian Pilsner--plenty of hops and with a sharp bitterness. Very good, I should say.

Not what I expected. Started crisp with citrus and then went to an earthy, roasted potato kind of feel. Maybe just the slightest hint of clove at times. Nice surprise.
