COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An excellent beer emerges from the great Peroni tradition - PERONI GRAN RISERVA. A prestigious clear double malt beer with an alcohol content of 6.6%: this beer is the result of a careful, scrupulous selection of the most noble qualities of aromatic hops, yeast and a spring variety of distichous barley named "cherie". Ingredients are chosen with great attention and the experience of long-standing brewers.

Not bad. Even if it is difficult to categorize it in traditional brewing styles, it is one of the best "doppio malto" in Italy. Maybe it lacks a bit in aftertaste definition.

That’s OK - very malt based and therefore hardly what you’d call a complex beer, but refreshing and tasty enough. Decent white head on an amber body - good balance of grain and caramel sweetness.

Golden colour with White head. Aroma of some caramel, hops, little notes of fruits and alcohol. Flavours are similar, with notes of yeasts, some hops, medium carbonation, middle bitterness, with an empty, alhoholic finish. Cheap .

Pours a clear golden color, topped with a fairly small white head. Malty aroma with some fruity notes and quite some grainy aroma. Sweet malty taste, bready notes, a bit of caramel and mild bitterness in the finish. Hints of alcohol. Not unpleasant, but not that nice either. Pretty average.

Cagliari 2/8 2014. 33 cl from ISA supermarket. Pours clear yellow with a thin quickly evaporating head. Faint aroma but a pleasant malty taste. Fairly good for an Italian beer.

Looks promising with a dark pour and a tan head. Nasty aroma of stale cheap beer grains and lab alcohol. A little better to drink with some continental hops and caramel sweetness, marred by harsh alcohol. This is basically a malt liquor. Get the normal Peroni instead, or better yet some wine or limoncello.

Bottle from sainsburys. Pours pale yellow with not much head. Aroma is corn, toffee and maple. Taste is sweet and very slightly sour. Prickly carbonation and quite a thin body. Ok.
