Born of the 1963 Nastro Azzurro beer, Peroni Leggera is an expertly brewed lager using the same unique, quality Italian ingredients. Peroni Leggera, light in colour and body and has a clean, refreshing taste, with an added bitter note to provide a balanced flavour, while its effervescent sparkle acts as a great thirst quencher.

Like so many light alcohol beers it tastes like they took regular Peroni and then added soda water to reduce the alcohol content. So it looks like beer, smells like beer but doesnít taste like beer and just leaves a taste of bubbles and soda water on the tongue when you are done.

on tap at central by matilda bay in newcastle. was wondering why they imported a light beer but now see itís made under license. anyways, dull yellow, plenty of fizz and a surprisingly lasting head; wet cardboard aroma; hints of lemon-scented cleaning products; slightly crisp in the finish. still pretty bland - i guess itís for people who find the regular peroni too intense

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Very pale yellow beer with little head but many bubbles on side of glass. Very little aroma, bit of malt maybe. Nice in the mouth, crisp with slight bitterness then a late slight touch of malt in the finish. The Australian mid-strength market is an affront to beer drinkers. This beer is like a diamond in that particular sea of excrement. It is actually drinkable!

Stale aroma. Clear very very pale yellow colour with little to no head. Light honey flavour though slightly stale. Very light body with low carbonation.

Bland, watery, artificial tasting and poor at best. Donít bother if there is another option.

330ml bottle. Appears clear pale yellow in the glass with minimal transient white head. Not much on the nose other than light cereal malts. Palate is thin and watery with bland light malts on the tongue and no hop presence. There are much better mid strength lagers out there.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2013 Part of my mid strength taste-off. Is very ordinary, is watery and lacks bitterness. Gage pils and Carlton mid still in front.

Impressive glass of soda, well set, good start, green bottle, gassy release, weeds once the cap comes off. A mid strength, low carb (devoid of life) lager brewed in Oz labelled as an Italian synthetic and why!? We donít know.
Salty pretzels, rocket leaves, toasted white bread;..., popcorn, wakame come through in the nose. Wanky, drabby and watery on the palate. Low malt, starchy, bland and biting in carbonation. Devoid of all but manages to film the tongue with everything wrong of light lagers. Not easy to drink. Gassy. Unpleasant!

Yeah itís a low carb beer. Do I really need to say much about it? Itís light and easy drinking, so yeah.
