Brewed from the finest spring planted barley malts, has a unique balanced taste with a delicate aroma arising from the hops of the most exclusive varieties. Young, balanced and sparkling, Nastro Azzurro is the beer for the knowledgeable and demanding consumer.

330 mL bottle from the LCBO, served cold in a tulip. MA14/07

App.: Medium straw, clear, small foamy white head. Aroma: Surprising noseful of very herbaceous, spicy green hops (like good dank); light cereal and grain behind that, maybe a little lemon and biscuit. Palate: Medium-thin body, fairly lively carbonation. Flav.: Corn, cereal, grains; grassy, green hops take a backseat; dry with a moderately bitter finish.

I really dig the aroma and could probably toss several of these back on a summer’s eve.

12oz bottle. Pale urine yellow with a small white foamy head. If you handed me a glass and told me it was fosters or bud I’d believe it. Typical macro taste and smell. I’ll refer to it as Nasty Azz from now on.

ekstedt (6157) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 11, 2007
Bottle, 33 cl. Pale clear yellow, fizzy small white head. Weak, but clean bready malt aroma, light citric hop profile. Light in body, slightly watery, with a prickling co2 feeling. Moderately bitter, a drinkable lager.

Bottle 0.33 L. Clear, yellow body with an average, frothy, white head, mostly diminishing with a fair lacing. Moderate-to-heavy malty aroma (cereal) with a light-to-moderate hoppy character (herbal) and hints of yeast. Quite balanced bitter-sweet flavour at the beginning which develops towards a more bitter charachter in the finish. Light-to-medium body with a watery texture; lively carbonation; light metallic note in the finish. Just a standard lager.

Pale malty beer, reminiscent of a pils as it does have a touch of bitterness. Marginally preferred to tennents/bud/1664 and the like. Clean crisp, refreshing, but no interest.

Pours a fizzily yellow with a white head. Smells of skunked hops, with a little grapefruit. Thin-bodied with high carbonation. Tastes of wet straw, grass, and dry skunky hops. Typical Italian lager (premium?). Good for washing down some pizza on a hot day I guess.

Looks pale yellow in the glass. Aroma has hops, maybe some citrus also. Quite sparkling mouthfeel and refreshing. A common bulk lager, not a bad one if you’re thirsty and want to drink some easy lager.

larsga (6893) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 11, 2007
Small white head quickly disappears. Very pale yellow body. Light perfumy hop aroma, with notes of alcohol. Soft malty taste. Chalky mouthfeel. Carbonation in the mouth. Dry nothing aftertaste. Not bad, but wholly pointless. (0.33l bottle.)
