Brewed from the finest spring planted barley malts, has a unique balanced taste with a delicate aroma arising from the hops of the most exclusive varieties. Young, balanced and sparkling, Nastro Azzurro is the beer for the knowledgeable and demanding consumer.

Bottle, Golden coloured beer, light carbonation and a small white head. Light sweet hoppy aroma. Medium palate. Finish is again light, sweet with some hoppy touches. Not bad but ordinary.

Bottle Yellow fizzy beer. This is what I expected, just a typical cheap import. Booo.

muzzlehatch (4572) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 30, 2007
12 ounce bottle from City Market in Burlington, VT (December 2007), sampled a few minutes out of the fridge from a Christoffel glass. A voluminous, fluffy white head near-fills the glass, decaying moderately quickly and forming chunky irregular lacing above the very pale, clear straw body.....nose is a bit skunky, despite the green bottle presumably not having been exposed to light in its abundant packaging; after a couple of minutes, the nastiness dies down but there isn’t much malty goodness or hops to smell either....strangely, I get cigarettes....flavor-wise it’s a little better, certainly tolerable if quite dull; lightly sweet, a bit of pale cereal character, the faintest touch of grassy hops towards the finish (saaz perhaps?)....it’s not really all that bad, but it’s not so much better than American industrial lagers that its worth paying an inflated price for, certainly.

Pours clear yellow with about two fingers of starkly white head. A slightly skunky odor of corn is prevalent. Starts off very light and watery, and ends with a hint of sweetness that ends with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Nothing particularly special about this.

This is quite an enjoyable beer that is easy to drink. Not a great deal of flavour but everything seems to be well balanced.

A friend of mine brought this bottle from Romania. Looks good. The beer starts very normal, but turns very alcoholic in the end. Terrible!

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2008 This has stronger flavour and aroma than many macro lagers, but mostly not in a good way. It is light gold with a big, bubbly white head that dissipates steadily to a wispy head. The aroma is mostly a basic pale-lager smell like Schlitz, etc., but a little stronger, with sharp grain, a metallic hint, and a definite skunky sulphur smell that is not pleasant and I often like so-called "skunky" smells like in nice German pilsners. Thankfully, it tastes better than it smells, again being a stronger-than-usual macro lager taste, but for the first half it has a faint skunky hint and a mild but unpleasant, metallic bitter finish. This tends to go away in the second half, but it also becomes more bland. I could see how someone might like this more than the average macro stuff, because it has more taste, but generally the taste is not great, although it is hardly terrible.
