Sweet malty nose, deep amber, tiny toffee head. Flavour is a subtle malt, sweet, and bitter at the same time. Very light for the style. Thanks Oakes.

Bottle, 50 cl, at Papsø’s. Clear dark red brown with a small off white head. Nose of bread, dark fruit, sweet malt. Taste is sweet much the same, very clean, but a little uninspiring. Very light bitter finish. Softly carbonated.

Eructoblaster (2957) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 10, 2008
Bottle - 500ml. Dark brown body with instant-fading beige bubbly head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with sweet and roasty hints. Taste is quite thin and finish barely detectable. Very disappointing Strong Beer.

allmyvinyl (2924) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 22, 2013
Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Looks and smells like a glass of coke. No head. Not much malt or hops going on, just demerara sugar. Didn’t really like this.

500 ml bottle kindly shared by Petro. Clear deep mahogany colored body with a light brown film. Dried dark fruits and band aid on the nose. Sweet, fruity, light alcoholic mouth. Medium bodied. Smoothish.

0,5 l bottle as a gift.
Poured deep ruby-brown with a foamy tan-light beige head that diminishes quickly, disappeares fully. Aroma of sourish yeast, rosted grains and mild coffee, caramel and molasses, light dried fruits. Caramell and molasses, toasted-roasted grains in the flavor, some lurking plum and raisins. Sweet fruity aftertaste with a rosted bit.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - like a glass of cola, a red chink but mostly dark brown with no head. Nose - more brown sugar than chocolate. Taste - more brown sugar again. Palate - thin for the alcohol and basically it tastes like a very badly made Belgian. Cloying and then thin. Overall - does not reflect the style at all but I suppose it’s solid in some ways.

Holmen1 (2306) - Stavanger, NORWAY - OCT 26, 2013
God uansett.

Bottle. Dark brown in colour, thin beige head. The Aroma was of caramel, slightly roasty with some sweetness. The flavour was of caramel, some chocolate and roast. Chewy mouthfeel, medium-light body, medium carbonation. Finishes a little thin and quick.

This is a hair better than another 6.8%er from this brewer. Poured at a good temperature with a thick, foamy, frothy, fizzy head that rapidly settles down and a bit of lace. Color is a dark, clear ruby. Aroma is malt, wet grain, hint of roast and molasses. Flavor’s like nose, again like the other, quite sweet, but has the roast coming out a smidgen. Also again, happy to have some carbonic tang to balance, but it’s too fizzy, and barely any bitter. Body is like last time, though a tad better. Finish is likewise like flavor and the last, just a bit better, but not good enough to want another.
