lightning9191 (58), Christiansburg, Virginia, USA Jun 21, 2008 This one pours with about a finger of foam and is a clear, coppery color. The head does not stick around for long though. The aroma is somewhat malty. In the taste, I am getting some corn and then some butterscotch tones. I’m not sure what I think of this one. It is okay. Nothing to write home about. The body is pretty light and the carbonation is leaning towards high.
unclemike (348), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Sep 1, 2008 Dark color when poured sweet smelling, no aftertaste a rather good beer very minimal head smjohnst (132), , Pennsylvania, USA Aug 2, 2008 This is a very solid dark beer. Not too thick and not too watered down. Straub puts out a good product. krautdog (15), Ohio, USA Jul 15, 2008 Pours a nice copper color, tons of carbonation, very little head retention. Really smells of corn. Sweet, not unpleasent taste and zero hop bitterness/aroma. An alright beer for the price, more flavorful then the regular straub. Nejhleader (780), Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 5, 2008 has a nice little roast caramel malt aroma to it, body is a little thin, but a pleasent roast malt flavor to it. brewhoo (5), USA does not count Jun 29, 2008 Nice light malt taste and amber color...mimimal aftertaste..very nice for a local brew.
