The head was creamy with great lasting ability a bit thin on the tongue. But not bad. Sweet and bitter god balance good fruit flavor. Probably best head on beer ever. Nice bottles. Draft from brewery in koln. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33cl fliptop picked up in REWE, Köln. - Supposedly one of the smaller brewery Kölsch, that nevertheless keeps to the dubious recipe of using both natural hops and hop extract. Result is a rather flat and undistinguishable Kölsch that tatstes less like lemonade for adults than some others. Drinkable, but a very bland and watery brew indeed.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a crystal clear, pale yellow colored body with an inch thick, foamy and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is lightly sweetened malts with a touch of grass and a few fruit notes. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened pale malts, a bit of a grassy bitterness, soft fruit notes, and a bit of a graininess. Finishes lightly bitter and dry before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Light body and a soft, active carbonation. Overall, a pretty basic, but well done Kölsch. Easy drinking and enjoyable.

The head is medium, the body golden. It smells sweet, malty, hoppy. The taste is malty, sweet. Mild and a bit boring, but for a Kölsch ok. 11/9/10/9/11/10

Golden yellow clear body with white head. Aromas sweet malts, grains, hay.Palate is soft and smooth with medium soft carbonation and mouth feel. Taste is malty and mild, with hints of floral hops. Finish is mild and light and little sweet with some berry flavors plus hints of hops bitterness. Easy to drink (overall rather simple) and balanced. Good.
