Tap @ Peters Brauhaus, medium sample. Clear yellow color, short white head. Aroma of spicy and grassy hop. Bit bitter in taste. Tasty kolsch.

At the brewhaus in Koln. Poured a clear gold with floral accents and sweet grain. Easy to drink and not offensive.

On tap at Peters Brauhaus, Koln, Saturday 29th March 2014 Amongst the sea of Kolsch that we found ourselves immersed in, in Koln this was very much in that middle ground, ok it poured nice, clear gold, large attractive white head but it was just a little too sweet and hoppiness and bitter bite quite blunted. Fine but the likes of Paffgen and Braustelle were so much better. A6 A5 T6 P3 Ov12 3.2

Tap @ Peters Brauhaus. Golden yellow, big foamy head. Mild corn malt aroma. Grain malt flavour. Bland and flat with bitter sweet aftertaste. Not a great Kolsch.

Bottle. Pours golden with a white head. Sweet, fruity and bready aroma. Taste has got a heavy maltiness and notes of semi dark bread and marzipan and a herbal bitterness. Quite sweet. Medium bitterness. Big bodied and smooth for a Kölsch.

Soft malt aroma. Low hop bitterness. Slightly sweet, not a drying finish. Slight hop flavor as it warms. No significant esters. Kind of bland with a slight hop bitterness. like a hoppy cream ale.

200 ml. draft @ Peters Brauhaus. Clear golden with a creamy head, standard look. Smell is a touch grainier than the Sion I tried before but still pretty smooth, sweetish yeast, hay, light white grapes. Taste is also a small touch grainier with sweetish yeast, hay, very faint corn & white grapes, touch sugar & sweet bread, light hops. Faintly grainy body but overall pretty smooth, creamy. Quite enjoyed it, easy to drink, yummy, no unwanted off-flavours, lovely Kölsch.

Good German Kolsch, not quite as minerally as Fruh and less fruity than the American versions. Bitter, crisp. Rocky head, yellow in color, clear. Some malt.
