"generously provided by Hannah (nice timing). 1st ever OK beer. Smells nice and rich, malty goodness right out of the bottle. Nice! Pours a pretty hazy dark orange, but flat. creamy texture is nice, and the flavor is a pretty nice mellow but tasty mix of toasted malts, caramel, sweet with a tiny hop/tart bite."

Draft at TapWerks. Pours a clear orange color with no head at all. Thick, malty aroma with some brown sugar lingering. Malt, malt, and more malt in the taste. Some hops but no spice. Dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours clean light straw color. Very light body with a good amount of carbonation. Palate-wise feels and drinks like a light lager. I actually like the combination of light body with octoberfest/marzen like flavors. Not complex, but driinkable nonetheless.

Had as Choc Choctoberfest. Pours a pretty clear amber with a fairly thick but not lasting whitish head. Malty aroma has a strong overtone of sweet fruit, maybe a hair or two too sweet. Flavor is malty, somewhat fruity, not complex but palatable. Mouthfeel is average in the thickness and fizz departments, maybe a scratch below average. Good for a party or with a meal.

Bottle thanks to soonerchamps. Pours amber color a small fizzy head that quickly fades. Aroma is odd for an amber lager. Sugary lemon juice and brown bread. Taste is more bready than the aroma suggests with just a light lemon taste. Some very light caramel and fruitiness too. Very odd beer but not terrible. Just not really sure what they were trying for here.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 12 oz bottle. The beer pours to slightly cloudy amber color with no head. The aroma has bread, cereal notes to it. The taste is light in body with very little mouthful. The beer might be old but was not very flavorful & i would not drink again.

12oz bottle poured into a Shaker at 38°. Color is golden yellow with a light haze and good carbonation that gives a very small head. Aroma is sugary with a bit of spice and a note of malt. It has a lighter medium body with a crisp mouth feel. Flavor comes in malty with a hint of biscut then some citrus and spice show. After taste gives a quick bitterness with a light fruitiness. Overall it a nice brew but not one a would seek out.

Orange-brown color with a thin white ring of a head. Aroma of caramel and a little toast. Malty, some herbal hops and an odd metallic character. Not good, not wretched.... tick, Oklahoma!

Draught at the Tapwerks Bricktown, Oklahoma City, OK as Choc Choctober.
Cloudy amber colour with a small white head. Sweet hops, moderate bitterness and candy in the aroma. Some spices, sweetness and mild bitter hops in the flavour. Soft carbonation.

Sample at the Beer Growler in John’s Creek. Light brown color, with a small, off-white head. The aroma is caramel, brown bread, and a little ash. The flavor is light, mild bitterness, and smooth sweetness. Light body, with a chalky, mellow mouthfeel. Not bad, but not a great beer.
