3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 FatTony (175) - Augusta, Georgia, USA - JUN 20, 2009Bottle from ScottyK. Poured out a cloudy marigold yellow with a light white head. Aroma was mainly wheat and citrus. Hints of citrus and light wheat flavors were predominant. Palate was slightly thin. The thin palate and too faint flavors kept this from being a really great "hot day" beer. Strengthen the flavor a bit and it could be a real winner.

A - Pours a murky yellow with 1 finger of white head that forms a thick collar.
S - Peppery, musty wheat, twangy yeast, clove, honey, muted orange.
T - Heavy honey wheat flavor, soft orange and lemon citrus, some clove spice in the middle, finishes a little wet.
M - Light to medium bodied, soft velvety carbonation.
This a little rough around the edges. Drinks pretty easy though. Great mouthfeel.

Pours a hazy straw with half finger head with no lacing. Rich toasted malt that starts the flavor off sweet with a bit of tart flavor as well. Mild floral hops. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation with clean mouthfeel. Medium finish that is clean. Malt over hop, for sure. Refreshing and very drinkeable in the current 106F St. Louis weather.

Had as choc Last Laugh. This has a bit of orange/coriander Belgian wit aroma. First sip is a bit sour and carbonated. The finish is much better than the start. A very cloudy unfiltered look. Overall, not all that good.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 ben4321 (3032) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 15, 2011
Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 6/15/11, as Choc Last Laugh
Aroma: The nose is fairly lemony, lots of wheat, some clove and other spices as well
Appearance: The pour was a bit of a gusher, cloudy dark golden color with a big fizzy white head
Flavor: The taste is fairly wheaty, not overly sweet, slightly tart, citrusy, with a somewhat spicy finish
Palate: This light-med bodied beer is slightly overly carbonated, which takes away from the drinkability
Overall Impression:
Overall, this wasn’t a bad beer, but it just wasn’t that great either. I wouldn’t suggest running out for this one. While the nose and the flavor aren’t too bad, between being overly carbonated and the lack of anything really interesting going on, it just isn’t a really great beer.
