Bottle: Not bad for a beer very easy to find. Pours amber with a small head. Slight malt aroma and flavor. Drinkable.

I remember being fairly tasty. Pours a ruddy reddish brown. Sweet nutty aroma. Grainy, grassy. easy on the mouthfeel and not offensive to drink.

I am a borderline beer snob and was very suprised to find this beer rated so poorly. I compare this beer to Mac N Jack but not quite as good. While Jack is considered an amber and this a "ruby brown", I thought this was slightly more hoppy than the Mac N jack. Its a very good beer, not my favorite but really good. I will buy another six pack soon and may try Pete’s other brews because of this one. Enjoy your Beer.

Dark red in color with a decent head. Smells of malts, touch of roastiness, caramel. Taste is of malts and caramel with a a little hops to balance.

This is pretty much your middle of the road Brown Ale. Not bad, but nothing too great either. Pours a very average Brown Ale look - Brown colored, medium tanish head, just a little bit of lacing with an aroma that is sugary. My problem with this is that it’s too much like many other Brown Ale’s I’ve had. It’s just too sweet! At first it seems like it’s pretty flavorful, but halfway through it I’m tired of drinking something this sweet and without too many other characteristics. It does have a slight malt flavor but I think you get my point.

Pete’s is one of the first micro’s I ever tried, but it has been a while, so I figured I would give it another try. Pours a nice reddish brown with a good foamy white head. Flavor is good, a nice balance of hops and malt. Still a good "macro-micro’.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 mrant (330) - New York, USA - MAR 26, 2008
Smells pleasantly of sweet caramel malt. Some spice to it, maybe cloves. Taste is somewhat weak and watery with a sugary maltiness. Very little to almost absent hops. A different brown ale than I am used to, but still very good.
