Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a clear dark amber color with very little ivory bubbles around edges. Aroma is of alcohol, malt and cherry. Taste is more subdued than aroma; subtle bitterness. Smooth. Nothing outstanding.

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2007 Not a bad beer. Pours a medium amber with a small head. Average lacing. A little maltierthan I expected. Sort of refreshing. Overall a pretty decent brew.

Been a few years since I had this. Seems to be less available than before. Pours a fizzy amber, with a loose head. The aroma is very grainy, almost raw smelling. The flavor is raw grains. Not much else.

A little hoppier than I like in my browns, but the sweetness helps offset it very nicely. A hint of cherry and apple in the nose, palate in somewhat overcarbonated, but not too bad. Nice cherry maple flavor. A pretty good brew.

This was poured from a bottle and poured brown with not much head. Not as much "kick" as some brown ales I’ve had, but overall an enjoyable beer.

Bottle - from 3-variety sampler pack. One of the original beers from the microbrew revolution. Decent flavor, but there are definitely better ones out there.
