Pours a reddish brown with good white head. Mouth feel is a bit thin. Nose and taste of malts, nuts with bitterness I didn’t expect. Rated 1/3/2000

Man, I had this beer years ago. 15 maybe?
12oz bottle. Medium brown color. aroma of toasted malt syrup. Flavor is of sweet malt. Yeah back then this was the stuff. Now, I’m not sure what it is made of. Some caramel, well balanced. Not bad. Tastes like a beginner’s homebrew.

12 oz bottle into English pint. Aroma is sugar sweet--cloyingly so. Extremely malty nose here. Pours a clear amber brown with a medium dissipating head, average lace. Thankfully the taste isn’t cloying sweet like the aroma. Starts out sweet and finishes a little salty with just a touch of bitter. Medium bodied, highly carbonated. Not bad, not great. Addendum: beer looks like shit 3/4 of the way through a glass--no head or lace remain. I had to downgrade my appearance score.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2010 Smells of sweet malt. Pours from bottle dark amber, bright, and with head. Tastes malty, barely hoppy, with some fruit esters. Seems slightly metallic (more acidic than other brands?). Not overly carbonated, but still pretty carbonated. Dextrins are up, but not creamy.

Not what I remember, amber color with light head, some malts but a lot of carbonation and very little hops. Like a so so lager

12 oz bottle. Clear deep amber with a thick foamy beige head. Aroma of mellow earthy hops, fresh baked biscuits and a slight metallic scent. Flavor of sweet malt, very light hop bitterness and that metallic scent is coming through a bit in the flavor. Medium body with average carbonation a slick mouth feel and very drinkable. This beer helped me get into craft beer oh so long ago, been a while since I’ve had it but it is still a solid beer.

Pours reddish amber with a thin lacy white head. Aroma is sweet slightly hopy. Flavor is sweet with a little bitter undertone. A good go to if it’s available in your area.

12oz bottle
Appearance: Reddish brown with a medium off-white head which leave lacing as it dissipates quickly
Aroma: Dark fruits, nutty
Taste: Thin mouthfeel, dark malts and fruits, medicinal taste that lingers in the finish
Not to bad, tastes much better cold. When it starts to warm up I get some off flavors.
