I think this is the starter beer for people looking to try one with fruit. Aromas of strawberry and a hint of wheat. More carbonation than necessary. The flavor is strawberry, along with some pale malt and wheat.

All I can smell in Pete’s is just a hint of strawberry, though the kind you get out of the freezer. There is a hint of strawberry in the taste as well, along with malt, but I really barely tasted anything at all. Combine that with the thin body, flat carbonation, and non-existent head, and this is one to pass on.

Purchased a twelve ounce bottle at the Westwood Remke/Biggs - This one pours out as a fizzy golden beer with a fast fading white head of foam and a single note Strawberry ester (aroma). Hey, it’s drinkable and can be thought of as a passable session brew, body it is lacking in body and richness, especially for a supposed fruit flavored brew!

You can definitely smell the aroma of strawberry. It pour a golden color with medium head. Not much in the taste except for hints of strawberry. The carbonation is filled with fizz. Light body, overall not that great.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2011 On first glance of the title and label, you’d expect this beer to have a strong sugary strawberry taste. On the fist sip though, it’s clear this beer still tastes like beer (a relief). The strawberry taste is very more subtle than you’d expect, with a mild but pleasant strawberry aftertaste that can still be tasted while enjoying other foods, making this beer a nice complement to food. The strawberry flavor is "natural" according to the label.

bottle. Picked this up from the singles door at work solely because I knew it was being DQ’d. Hey, this was a widely popular brew, so this was for educational purposes. Pours actually a nice looking rich gold, with minimal gray head. Aroma is pretty much dominated by strawberry, although I don’t know how natural it is, it kind of has a strawberry syrup smell to it. Flavor is pretty light in body, featuring a somewhat crisp hop profile and strawberries throughout, intensifying on finish although nowhere near as intense as they are in aroma. Out of the bottle this wouldn’t be horrible on a hot day, in a glass the strawberry syrup aroma reminds me more of eating pancakes at ihop.
