Man, as the air gets cold, and the snow approaches, what I wouldnít give for a bottle of this stuff now. As I understand, the Peteís brand is now gone. Most of their offerings were just OK in my book. But this winter offering of theirs was just the best. Iím not much of a fan of beer that has fruit flavors in it, but this one was an exception. Iíve tried a lot of great brews in my 51 years, but this one was certainly in the top 5 of all beers that Iíve enjoyed. Nothing like sitting on the back porch during a snowstorm, with flakes piling up on your head while you put sown a few of these. Certainly beats sitting on the beach drinking Corona. Anyone have a bottle of it stashed away that they want to sell?

12oz bottle 3/02 (Old Notes)-Pours a medium amber with a decent off white head. Aroma of spices, raspberry, and malt. Taste of the same with a nutty presence as well. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and goes down smooth. A nice tasting winter brew.

12 ounce bottle, reviewed from my notes. Dark murky brown color with a nice head. The raspberry and nutmeg actually come through nice. Drinkable for a winter brew not overally spiced.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Interesting beer. A bit too fruity to really be a winter brew. Some spice, some malt, and some hops. Not bad, but just doesnt seem like a winter beer.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours ruddy brown with a big foamy head. Nose is sweet and malty with berry. I actually kind of like this one, with a subtle spice flavor to go with the raspberry. Itís quite refreshing and a good session beer to feed my sweet tooth.
