UPDATED: OCT 17, 2013 On tap in a pint glass. Pours a clear amber color with a moderate white head that fades a little and some lacing. Aroma is light on hops with a hint of malty sweetness and peppery rye notes. Slight hop bite upfront that fades into a sweetness and grainiess, and finishes with a slight peppery finish. Very sessionable with a smooth mouthfeel.

An almost clear one, amber in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is pretty malty, with toffee and a little hint of fruityness. Not much impact from the rye I expect to have been used judging from the name of the beer. There’s some bitterness in the flavor, but not much, and there’s actually not much of anything. Medium body, semi-dry, and with a nice carbonation level. Overall, a pretty boring one, but far from bad. 140118
