COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Look for this beer’s release as the weather gets cold. Our dark strong winter ale is spiced with nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, and ginger. A full bodied ale meant to be enjoyed during the cold winter months with family and friends. English hops and high quality malts give this beer its backbone. All spices are provided by local spice maker, Pendery’s, a mere half block from the brewery. The spices in the Wintervention compliment the spices in many holiday treats, while the hops provide the perfect contrast. Enjoy this beer with holiday foods or simply have it on its own!

Draft at ginger man Plano. Light brown with no head. Nice malty spicy nose. Drinks easy with a thin body and some nice sweet malty flavors. Thinnish body detracts. Ok.

On tap. Pours somewhat brown with orange hues and thick tan head. Aroma is malty and spicy, some subtle hints of berry and caramel, perhaps a touch of toffee. Flavor is very much the same with a malty sweet backbone, hint of pine, ginger, a subtle touch of cinnamon and very balanced alcohol spice. Heavy mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Overall, solid brew!

On tap at The Common Table. Glad to have a new beer from Peticolas on tap. The beer pours a dark brown color with an off-white head. The aroma is full of caramel malt, cinnamon and toffee. A very spicy, wintery smelling beer. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of cinnamon and brown sugar notes, as well as some allspice and nutmeg. There is also a good dose of caramel malt. What is absent is the alcohol, which is nearly undetectable. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice winter beer. Probably my favorite so far from Peticolas.

Dark brown pour with a lasting cream head. Aroma is winter spice, caramel, a bit of dark fruit. Taste is well rounded spice with caramel and chocolate. Alcohol is only there in warmth. Creamy texture. Fantastic.

On tap at the brewery. Brownish amber pour with some off-white head. Nose of caramel malt, brown sugar, and lots of spices. Big time malts and spice but not overpowering. Just delicious.

(Draught at the brewery) medium deep amber, lasting tan head. Nose of winter spices, caramel and chocolate malt, brown sugar, very rich nose with perfectly balanced spices. Taste is dry, perfectly spiced, cinnamon, allspice, light ginger that isn’t overdone, perfectly carbonated, rich and smooth. For a 10% ABV, this ranks up there with the best at hiding it. Drinks like a 6.5% beer. Maybe Michael’s best beer yet.
