Bottle thanx to Jerre. A clear orange colored beer, with a little light beige head. The aroma has some woody notes with malts and spices. The taste is the thinner version of the other Orval. It has several fruits, like citrus and grapes. It is a little hoppy with notes of wood. The aftertaste has some bitterness.

2008 bottle. Clear amber with a big and lasting white head. Lots of brett,m barnyard and grapefruit, in the aroma. Sweetish with a drying tartness. Clearly thinner than the regular.

Rating from memory - the location alone (cafe just up from the entrance to the abbey, view of the brewhouse from my chair) wins a few points...and this is, after all, Orval. Has the same funky dry taste, the bready/fruity notes are much more subdued, and just overall thinner and not as complex tasting nor as dry on the finish. Would absolutely be my go-to session beer if it was even remotely available.

Bottle Clear, blond to amber body. Off-white head. Aroma of hops, grass and some malts. Moderately bitter flavour, but somewhat weak. Quite nice anyway.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm) Pale amber colour with brief, white head. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of citrus peel, yeast and slightly earthy hops. Fruity, spicy taste with hints of citrus, yeast and spicy hops. Light body with a generous, spicy bitterness in a dry finish. Lots of character considering the low abv. Nice beer.

Bottle. [thank you so much, dedollewaitor!]
Pours lightly muddy copper with a small, bubbly, creamy, off-white head. Quite sweet aroma, some flowers, herbs, light brett. Highish, prickly carbonation, a tad watery palate. Flavour is surprisingly nice, very dry, brett, flowers. Some peppery notes in the finish. Refreshing.

Bottle, no label (Akkurat, Stockholm). Very clear golden colour. Aroma is very unique with hints of flowers, hops and fresh fruits. Taste is smooth and balanced with some malts and hops, but too watery. Aftertaste is minimalistic.
