Bottle. [thank you so much, dedollewaitor!]
Pours lightly muddy copper with a small, bubbly, creamy, off-white head. Quite sweet aroma, some flowers, herbs, light brett. Highish, prickly carbonation, a tad watery palate. Flavour is surprisingly nice, very dry, brett, flowers. Some peppery notes in the finish. Refreshing.

Bottle, no label (Akkurat, Stockholm). Very clear golden colour. Aroma is very unique with hints of flowers, hops and fresh fruits. Taste is smooth and balanced with some malts and hops, but too watery. Aftertaste is minimalistic.

Bottle @ Auberge de l’Ange Gardien. Clear colour with white head. Hop flavour. Light body, watery taste. Slightly disappointing. Good for monks and thirsty pilgrims.

Bottle: Poured a clear copper color with a creamy off white head. The aroma is a light fruit. The taste is smooth grain, malt, and light hop. Very impressive for a low ABV, do the monks know what they are doing or what?

33 cL bottle at DHVL. Pours clear and golden orange with a dense white and creamy head. Aroma is soft malty and with a very minor brett note. Flavour starts light sweet malty with a vague brett citric note. Dry wooden brett note on the back of the tongue into the finish. Smooth and easy. Light peppery finish.

MiP (13598) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 9, 2009
Bottle at De Heeren van Liedekercke. Good grassy hop aroma, reminding me of the bigger Orval. Clear dark amber colour. Nice big stable creamy off-white head. The flavour is mildly hoppy. Has the familiar Orval hop flavour, only less powerful. Creamy texture, nice mild carbonation. Not an outstanding beer in my opinion, but good, refreshing and well-balanced, and very good considering the ABV.

33cl bottle. Belgium beer number five hundred , 500. Bottle at the best beer bar in Belgium. 2008 edition. Pours golden copper with a creamy bubbly orval looking head. Vague fruity orange & hoppy notes. Actually like a lighter version of orval with less body & brett. Smooth & soft. Pretty damm lovely and drinkable.

33cl, exclusive brew (no label), from the brewery, easy to drink, not complex, balanced, cloudy, good head, simpel brew

Bottle at Guardian Angel Cafe near the abby. Pours an orange-gold coloured brew, less floaties in there than in hte normal Orval. Slight watery taste but surprisingly complex for this ABV. Very nice and good to drink.

Bottle at Akkurat, Stockholm. Medium, but persistent head. Amber as the mother beer. Brettanomyces nose and flavours, pronounced bitterness. Light body. Distinctive, as you would expect, but the fathers are missing out if they only drink this beer and not the "big" Orval.
