COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Burnt copper color and giant hop aroma come to the forefront in this traditional IPA. Rich caramel malt and red wheat balance the dry bitter finish.

74 ibus is a pretty low estimate of this behemoth. The most bitter ipa I have yet to taste. Small head with a little staying power and minimal lacing. Nose is hoppy, sweet with subdued malty pine smell. Quite good in my opinion. Taste is bitter bitter ipa goodness. Like bells hopslam times 3. Fruity under notes and almost no malt flavor to speak of. This is a great American ipa and should be sold all over... Because I would buy it.

On tap at PF Steamers in Ludington, Mi. Pours amber, slightly translucent, cream hued head that leaves a lot of lacing. Strong bitterness, pine, pretty dank. Medium body.

Pour from a one pint can, purchased at Horrockís in Grand Rapids. Darker amber orange brew with an inch of dense and persistent head. Nice aroma dominated by a blend of resin and grapefruit but enhanced with other citrus notes, tart fruit and weak tropical fruit. Taste is tart fruit up front with moderate malt, with emerging resin and grapefruit towards the end. Malt present grows slightly and seems to balance out the hops as they build. A rock solid IPA with enough complexity and character to stand out a bit among other IPAís.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours lightly hazy reddish copper color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, caramel, toasted bready, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon/orange rind, pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, sticky/resinous, and fairly creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Open up your mind.....and warn your liver....this is NOT Blatz. My mindís eye imagines Blatz as the worldís finest pleasure elixir. Donít question it. Donít bother. Iíve been to Milwaukee, so I ought to know. Hie yourself down to the local liquor store & GET IT NOW (Blatz, not this stuff). Your sphincter will thank me in the morning. Or not.

Can at restaurant in St. Ignace Michigan. Aroma is muted pine. Pour is picture-perfect. Flavor is watery with Hoppy bitter finish. Meh.
