COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Burnt copper color and giant hop aroma come to the forefront in this traditional IPA. Rich caramel malt and red wheat balance the dry bitter finish.

74 ibus is a pretty low estimate of this behemoth. The most bitter ipa I have yet to taste. Small head with a little staying power and minimal lacing. Nose is hoppy, sweet with subdued malty pine smell. Quite good in my opinion. Taste is bitter bitter ipa goodness. Like bells hopslam times 3. Fruity under notes and almost no malt flavor to speak of. This is a great American ipa and should be sold all over... Because I would buy it.

Tap at source, Petoskey/MI 09/2013. Pours an appealing deep amber with porous head. Lightly hoppy and caramalt-sweet fragtant aroma. Cedar and pine notes on a pineapple base flush down quicky on a thin palate, quick finish.

On tap at Petoskey Brewing. Pours a dark orange with an off white head and sweet hoppy aroma. Taste is of caramel, fruits, and hops with a bitter, off fruity finish. Didn’t come together too well for me

On tap at Petoskey Brewing, Petoskey, Michigan, pours a deep amber orange with a small head. Nose is subtle, mild hops and not full of much flavor. Finish is slightly hoppy, average at best. Quaff Score 6 / 10

The appearance is a nice dark copper color and the aroma is a very nice hoppy and very much upfront. the taste is relly good for a traditional IPA, a very good mouth feel the carmel notes help tone down the little bit of bitternes there is. this is a great everyday drinker

Draft. Copper color, clear, light head. Assertive hops balanced with plenty of malt. Medium body. All around solid IPA.

Draft at Beer & Brat festival at Crystal Mt. Pours amber. Frothy, off white head. Strong pine aroma. Flavor of caramel and bitter. Dry finish. Good IPA. I didn’t get the same intense bitter that some of the others raters got, but no complaints. Would certainly try again.

Draft. Poured a clear dark copper color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt and earthy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.
