3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 andrewturba (456) - Alberta, CANADA - MAY 19, 2013
Pours a hazy darker golden colour with a small white head that sticks up the glass. Aroma is sour apple, grape, oak, light lemon and overall kinda funky but very pleasant. Flavour is sour apple, sour grapes, a nice oak touch and a little zesty lemon. Tasty sour which isn’t my usual first choice but would never turn one down. Overall a very session-able beer!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 quitequaffable (2) - California, USA - MAY 18, 2013 does not count
33cl bottle in a tulip. Pours crystal clear pale golden with a small white head. Lacing and retention are minimal, lots of carbonation present. Aroma is sour, spicy, wood. Initial taste is heavy sour and mild bitter with a medium sweet and mildly bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, medium duration.
Overall: A nice sour, drinkable, not too sweet. Didn’t notice the wood. Fairly straight forward, enjoyable.

I had this at Global Brew. It has a sour taste which I love. This is really good. I would definitely drink this again.

Had it out of a bottle, had a clear yellow hue, with a sweet aroma and the taste has a sour front with a dry finish.

Appearance: cloudy gold, with a frothy white head and syrupy legs. Aroma: apple cider vinegar, lemon zest, pineapple, tart white grape juice. Taste: BAM sour patch kids (lemon) without the ensuing sweetness, with notes of green apple jolly rancher, a bit of yeast, and some vinegar. Finish: lingering astringent tartness, with just a hint of honeyed, yeasty malts trying (but failing) to provide balance. Notes: This is a sour beer, to say the least. It’s very good for what it is, but it was a little sour for me. I prefer the red/brown sours to this for their malt/sweet balance, as the astringency in this beer was off the charts.

Just way over the top too sweet. I couldn’t find any pale. Just sweet and bitter. No hoppy accents that a pale ale should have. I had a hard time finishing this beer. Sorry, not recommended.
