On tap at In de Wildeman. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is fruity, sweet-sour, wood, oak, light vanilla. Flavour is sweet-sour, wood, fruity, vanilla, balsamic vinegar, rather tart. Medium bodied. Nice, but just a tad too sour for my taste.

10/29/10@azwine company.
orange-y brown with a small off white head.
it smells a whole lot like cocktail sauce...horseradish dirtiness, tomato, apple vinegar, hot sauce, wood, vanilla and malty sweetness.
the flavor is the same only less cocktail-y. nice mellow acetic balance and lingering herbaceous-ness. it actually works pretty well. crisp and interesting.7/3/7/4/15

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Cavie (3249) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - JUL 9, 2011
Tap at the Moth. Pours a very clear light yellow color with a white foamy head. Aroma is slightly sour and tart with wood notes and easy fruit. Flavor is certainly sour; mouthpuckering so. Some fruit elements but definitely sour.
Easy finish.

On tap at Hawthornes in Philly. The beer pours a nice amber with a small head. The aroma has a lot of fruit, apples, pears, a hint of lemon. The flavor also has the fruit with a nice sourness to it. It also has quite a malt presence which makes it a bit unusual. Very dry finish makes it a nice beer for the summer. Refreshing to say the least.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 SamGamgee (2451) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - JUN 30, 2011
33cl bottle. Deep gold colored beer with a medium-large white head and lively carbonation. Some sediment in the bottle that makes it into the glass, but the yeast sticks pretty well to the bottom of the bottle here. The aroma is lightly butter oak with some apple skin and soft lactic sourness. The flavor Is on the malty side for a sour ale, with a thick bready backbone, but acidity is strong and gives a strong sour apple impression. Not nearly as sweet as many of the darker blended Belgian sour ales, and that subsequent balsamic character. Finishes with a little dusty oak spice. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. I think this is my first pale belgian sour ale and I like it. Perhaps not as complex overall as Rodenbach, but dryer.
