3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Hermod (1480) - Vantaa, FINLAND - JAN 22, 2012
33cl bottle, BBE 07/2013. Poured clear ugolden with a thin white head. Aroma is vinegar, sour berries and citric notes. Flavor is very similar, along with some woody notes towards finish. Very dry finish. Nice sour ale, reminded me of Rodenbach Grand Cru abit.

Pours a pale golden color. Little to no head. Aromas of vinegar, sour apple and sugar. Sour up front smooths out with a slight tart granny smith/vinegar, slight pale ale flavor. Mouthfeel is pretty normal. Nothing lingers for too long. Overall pretty delicious.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 callmemickey (710) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 20, 2012
A: Pale, clear golden colored body. Large fizzy white head. Streaky suds left behind.
S: Huge acetic component. Vinegar, apples, a bit of lemon, and white grapes. Not much in the way of funk, must, or oak.
T: Lemon and vinegar provide the initial burst of flavor. This is followed by a green apple flavor that is reminiscent of some of the tarter batches of Fantome Saison. I would have liked a bit more "funk" and oak presence here.
M: Moderate sourness. Ultimately, however, the finish is a little thin as the sourness overpowers the beer. It’s not that the beer is overwhelmingly sour, it’s just more sour than the flavor and body of this beer can properly support.
O: A pleasant, enjoyable sour beer that is available at an accessible price.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 riversideAK (4381) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JAN 16, 2012
Citrusy sour nose, funky, some vinegar notes, basement. Pours golden, nice rocky head. Flavor is rather sour with notes of citrus, brett funk, light vinegar, dry musty dusty basement and solid carbonation. Long citric tart finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 lefossoyeur (245) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 9, 2012
Clear golden with a bubbly white head. Gentle aromas of wood, mushrooms, funk with some fruitiness to it. Light body, crisp acidic attack, low carbonation, bretty flavors with a lot of red wine barrel-like flavours. Long sour finish, with balsamic notes that are not unlike Rodenbach’s beer impressions. Interesting beer with very good drinkability.
