Bottle pours clear gold color with persistent medium white head. Aroma sour fruits. Taste sour fruit, funk. moderate tartness, lemons, slightly sweet. Moderately long sour finish. Palate carbonated. Alcohol disguised.
Given to me as an intro into sours. Pretty drinkable but I haven’t developed a taste for sours at this point so for now won’t seek out again.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Hoptagon (223) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - DEC 18, 2010
330ml. Bottle. Pours a bright gold color with a thin white head. Pungent sour nose with bits of oak, bread and wheat grass. Unexpectedly strong sourness with green apple and lemon notes. Also has a puckering apple cider vinegar kick that slowly fades into some malt sweetness. The malt flavors are subtle and mostly characterized by freshly baked dough. Oak is noticeable throughout and gives some softness to the otherwise tart nature of this beer. Strong carbonation with a slightly thin palate. Finishes with a nice combination of malt sugar and green apple jolly rancher. For the price this is probably the best readily available sour around.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Fred82 (1759) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 16, 2010
UPDATED: AUG 31, 2011 12oz bottle from savvy1982.
Appearance : Clear shiny amber with small head.
Aroma : Nice funk with lots of oak and sourness. Nice citrusy tartness with light vinegar. Some fruits too. Light honeyed malt notes.
Taste : Sour and slightly acetic. Lots of oak with light alcohol. Finish has lots of oak notes with light citrusy tartness. Light alcohol too. Light funky notes too. Quite acidic too.
Overall : Good stuff but it’s not exactly my thing. I dig the funk and the tartness but the light acetic notes are driving me off a bit. Still has an enjoyable sourness with nice oak notes. Rating stayed the same.
On tap at Farmhouse Tap and Grill, Burlington. Named Petrus 30th anniversary.
Appearance : Clear amber with a small head. Not much lacing.
Aroma : Peachy and a bit woody. Quite sour and tart. slightly acidic.
Taste : Lactic oak sourness. Some fruits (peaches).
Overall : A bit too lactic for my taste. Nice sour kick. Very tasty but after a few sips I’m done. 161210 7,3,6,3,17;3.6

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazed amber with a medium sized white head that falls off quickly. Sweet barnyard funk, light bits of fruity wheat. A bit sweet, leaning almost towards a lemonade soda sort of feel, with lots of tartness. Quite nice. Long bits of brett, but very subtle. Very pleasantly surprised with this.

Very sour with some fruit and apple notes. Yellow and carbonated with little head. Juicy, sour, and bubbly. Crisp and would be a perfect beer to have on a summer day. Outstanding.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jesperhammer (1294) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 26, 2010

Golden with white head.
Sour nose with oranges and cittrus.
TAste is citrus and oranges as well, a little spicey, and a long sour aftertaste.
Not very complex, but still a fine brew.
