Gold and clear with white foamy head. Super tart sweet fruit on the nose. Medium feel with lively carbonation. Biting sourness on the tongue, develops through the palate into a burn on the finish. Not alcohol heat, but a sour burn. not at all what I expected from the label. Not much hop, and no vanila or wood flavors from the oak. Very interesting. All of these sensations are unpleasant on the first sip, but once you’re over the initial shock of the taste, the flavor quickly grows on you. I’m really learning to love sours.

Pours medium to light gold with fading white head. Flavor and aroma are dominated by sourness, which I have not developed a vocabulary for yet. It is dominant yet non-abrasive sourness with slight notes of acidic acid in there. Slight sweetness, though its difficult to identify this as a malty sweetness. The beer is good, but that’s just because the sour is good.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Golden yellow colour with brief, white head. Fruity, slightly tart nose with citrus, grass and a slightly sulphury acidity. Fruity, tart taste with notes of citrus, vinegar, grass, pineapple, apricots, oak wood, lots of tannins and a harsh, dry and tart finish. Slightly more than medium body, tart and dry. Quite different, a bit like a triple gone Rodenbach. Very nice.

Bottle from Ølbutikken in Copenhagen. The pour is golden and totaly clear. The head is impressive. Its high lasting and frothy as hell. The nose is fine sour with fresh green grapes and lots of acidic notes like vinegar. Somewhere behind the sourness theres a notable malty base topped with some spicy notes like pepper. The taste is not as sour as the aroma but is balanced by a fine sweetness like melons. The mouthfeel is rather creamy and pretty buttery that gets more markedly through the finish. Really nice sour. Go grap it

Flaske: Pilsnergul klar øl med et flot skumhoved. Duften er tydelig sur med en dosis frugt oveni. Smagen er virkelig lækker, dejlig sur med en god dosis peber, ligesom jeg kan lide det. Mere amerikansk end belgisk i sit udtryk. Dejlig øl.

Pours pale amber with a large lasting head. Nose shows some soft acidic character with a little horseblanket, but is more focussed on fruit, wtih green apples, rhubarb and floral notes quite prominent. The sourness is also restrained in the taste, with more green apples and light sweet malt taking centre stage. Possibly the most approachable sour ale I’ve had so far. Great moderately high carbonation and light body. Spot on.

Draft: Poured a golden color with a thick white head. The aroma was citrus and funk. The flavor was very tart, apples, and lots of funk. I didn’t enjoy this at all. Maybe I had a bad one. I’ll re-rate in the future if I feel differently.
