Pours clear golden with thin white head, from 750 ml bottle. Aroma is nice and tart, with brett funk, sour apples, and some light hops. Taste up front is tart, leading into apples, sweet touch of biscuit with a tart sour finish. Not overly sour, but a great sour presence especially for the price.

$3.99/ 11.2 oz. brown bottle. Specs. Live Oak, TX. A clear almost transparent golden yellow beer with a small head. The aroma is very sour with vinegar and citrus displayed with some light fruitiness. Really a nice aroma bordering on the intense side. The taste is very nice and sour...A nice citric vinegar taste coming through with some peach and apricot with the mouthfeel being slightly foamy from the carbonation. This beer makes you lick your lips and is moderately mouth puckering. A very nice sour that is very worthy and one of the best sours available in TX. Very good price also.

Bottle, 10C. Clear gold with a small off-white head. Orchard fruit and forest floor aroma. Taste is full of apples and pears with prominent but gentle vinegar-like sourness. There’s no great depth to the sourness and it’s rather clean, but it’s _really_ nicely balanced. Thinnish body with just a hint of lactic texture. Dry and very refreshing.

Glass at Fat Head’s Cleveland. Clear gold pour with a fluffy white head. Tart citrus nose with notes of apple and some sweetness. Tart apple flavor with a bit of sweetness before a slightly bitter finish.

The beer starts with a deep dark golden color with a small foam towards the top. The aroma starts a sweet malt character and subtle citrus. The taste grabs the back of the tongue. The flavor starts with a intense sour note and finishes with a bitter ending.

better and far more exciting than the oud bruin, which kinda surprised me. aroma livelier - lemons, tartness and funk. feel lactic...ok. pale with a frothy white head. flavor is almost mouth puckering sour with levels of zestiness and complexity the brown lacked. musty cider like. not quite great, but very good.

bottle. pours a pale golden with a 1 finger white head. big tart apple aromas with some oak and some overall funk. big round body with lots of sourness, tart apple notes, some more wood and a bit of lactic acid. dry, tart finish with some general sweetness. excellent sour at a nice price.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2011 Draft. Pale yellow with a thick and foamy head and mild vinegar aroma. A light and pale ale, allowing the sour elements to come to the forefront and dominate the palate. Unlike some of my other favorite sours which tend to be darker and offer a bit of malt counter to the tartness, this one is really just a whole lot of puckering sour. My wife says it would be great poured on some frites. Well, it’s also enjoyable for sipping.
