2 10 oz. draft pours at Louisville Beer Store. Aroma: wonderfully sour, minimal hops. Appearance: very clear, l. orange. Some light, off-white head, replenishable by swirling. Taste: *v.* sour (apple vinegar, not balsamic), refreshing, some hop at end, certainly more than most sour ales. Some dryness in aftertaste. Palate: reasonably playful in mouth, clean. Minimal cloy. Overall: very impressed. The hint of bitter at the end differentiates it, in my mind, from other sours. On the other hand, the sour character itself, although very strong, perhaps not as complex as a Rodenbach (classic or grand cru) or Duchesse.

Bottle. Pours a brilliant sparkling dark straw with a nice rocky white head. No real lacing to speak of great. Great looking beer though. Great sour aromas with plenty of vingegar, a little lemon and some wood. Great stuff. Flavours are equally sour with lots of green apple tartness and plenty of vinegar. Super complex. Very dry finish similar to champagne. Lively mouthfeel. Great great beer.

Bottle. Poured a clear light orange-golden color. The head was short and white with decent retention. Some lace was left behind on the glass at the end. Smelled of apple cider vinegar, toffee, and unripe cherries. Light to medium bodied and tart. Tasted of apple cider vinegar and lemon juice with a hint of buttery toffee.

Pours a golden yellow colour, clear with a frothy white head. Aroma is of citrus or more sour fruits like green apples and floral hops. Taste is fairly sweet and quite sour, not bitter by any means. Thin mouth feel, light body. Overall not a beer I like, won’t be drinking many sour ales.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2011 (11.2oz thanks to Mora2000) Pours a faint hazy yellow with white fizzy head. Aroma of nice citrus funk, tart, a bit of farmhouse. Flavor same as aroma and has a nice tartness and a bit acidic. Mouth feel is light body with fizzy carbonation. Overall, I really liked this!

clear dark yellow / golden, slal non-lasting white head. wood , sourness, rubber in the aroma, also some exotic fruits. quite acid. flavor is tat, vineagra. sour stingy flavor, but quenching and not too vineagra’ish. reminds me a little of spanish sidra natural (no relation reg. ingredients etc. but the sourness is a little alike).
