The beer poured out a nice pale gold with a few fingers of foamy head, not a lot going on the nose some fruit, some yeast but the taste is amazing, lots of sour tang. It tastes more like a Basque cider than a belgian beer. There is fruit and citrus. Unlike a lot of the sour red there is no ketchupy or bandaid taste, to distract from the funky sourness. It’s a great beer with a light mouth feel. One of the few sours I have had, where i could drink more than one in a night.

Pours a mildly hazy pale color with a very small head and bubbles akin to a champagne. The aroma is some horse blanket with some tart fruit and some mild graininess. The flavor has some strawberry tartness. There is a bready kind of baguette like quality to the flavor of this beer. The beer is nicely sour but miles from bracing. The sour is balanced out with maltiness and fruitiness while maintaining a kind of brut like dryness. This has to be the best product from Petrus.

Smells slightly of wood and citrus/lemon, though maybe that’s influenced by the salmon I’m eating right now... reminds me A LOT of a champagne. Nice hazy yellow with slight red hues, no sediment in bottle, not much head, some lacing. Taste is a bit shockinginly strong! Wood and alcohal flavour, tapers off to revel the champagne dryness, sweetness. Quite smooth, not much bubbles on the tounge (unlike champagne), a bit of yeast flavour. Not bad, a bit of a shocker, very strong flavoured.

Deep golden pour with a nice white head. Aroma is tart and dry with some great woody notes and sour apricot. Flavor is sour but not mouth puckering. Some stone fruit, sour mash, tart and some light booze notes. Good.

(bottle from Coaltrain Wine & Liquor in Colorado Springs). Clear golden color. Medium white head, which is mostly diminishing. Light sour aroma. Light sour flavor with light sweet malt. Avg duration. Smooth finish, with light bitterness. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

A wonderful, mostly alcolohol-ey aroma and an enticing head lead you to think you’re about to taste an ale along the lines of an abbey brew, but taking that first sip makes you think "gueuze" rather than "monastery"! Acidic and sour, but as others have noted it is done just right to make this a very refreshing beer with excellent drinkability. This one will go down fast, so make the most of it.

First off, this is no oud bruin, look at it, its yellow for God’s sake! The beer is a beautiful pale yellow and looks like a gueuze. It smells quite enticingly sour, a little brett funkiness and a little cereal? The flavor is nice and sour but not abrasive. tart and lemony this is a good sour and I can’t believe I’ve passed it up so many times in the past. the price wasn’t too bad for a sour at $5 for a 330ml. 330ml bottle from 16th St Liquor in West Vancouver. Poured a clear gold with a thin white head and moderate lacing. Malty and acidic up front with a floral hop character and a barnyard finish. More subtle flavors can be detected but are very soft; vanilla, lemon, and green apple. Finish is well balanced between a malty sweetness and acetic acid.
