walrussell (161) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 28, 2009
Well hidden alcohol - sour and slightly vinegary, but not in an overpowering way - really in a very refreshing way - oakiness comes through, but still very light. Excellent.

You notice the aroma before the color as it explodes out of the bottle. Color is clear honeycomb and a plush, white pillow head looks nice but is gone too quickly. The oak is amazing on the nose. Bright citrus, this is very difficult to describe....but I like it! Full mouthfeel - the oak aging gives it some nice sour aspects. Complex, yet structured, taste with a chewy yeast throughout the palate. Difficult to describe...yet so tasty. Mouth

bottle (Bochum!). Clear golden colour, small white head. Fruity-sour nose. Shy malty background with lots of fruity sourness and a touch of vinegar.

Bronze yellow in colour with small white head. Aroma is refresching with note of citrus, wet wood and old hops, the taste is a little rustic with touches of old gueuze, hay, herbs and unripe green fruits
