3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 wlajwl (1479) - Iowa, USA - AUG 20, 2011
Very sour/tart aroma while the appearance is golden-yellow and relatively clear. The flavor is of apple juice, a hint of grain and very tart. Normally I don’t really care for sour ales, but this one was decent, not too far gone in the sour direction.

(750ml bottle courtesy of rayl101. Thanks Kevin! Pours a clear copper color with white head and active carbonation. Aroma has some funk, vinegar and fruit. Taste is a bit sweet, but mostly sour. Really fantastic. Medium bodied and oily texture. A solid sour beer.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 natejgood (323) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 13, 2011
Pours a very light clear golden with a large white head that craters slowly. Aroma is a bit yeasty, but it is hard to smell through the head. Fairly sour and I don’t get much of an oaky flavor. I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of sour beers, but this one is very drinkable and smooth in the mouth.

Tap @ de Paas. Nice amber to blond colouration. Looks great with a nice white head on top. Aroma has some oak, some sour apples and a lot of sour dough yeastiness. Flavour was incredible, nice fresh and sour. Really quenching my thirst and making me more happy with every sip. Really nice find, this one.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mansquito (1607) - washington, Washington DC, USA - AUG 10, 2011
Chevy Chase, DC 330ml ($5): Pours a golden color with a head that leaves and non-existent lacing. Why are people giving this a 4 on appearance? Not quite sure. Aroma is of sour ale, with a few not-quite off notes. Fortunately the taste is an improvement over both the aroma and the appearance. Good amount of sourness. Tastes like a Flemish red ale despite the difference in colour. Not much aftertaste, but certainly does make you wince a second while tasting it. A pretty good sour ale, albeit nothing at all special
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 taphandle (991) - Texas, USA - AUG 10, 2011
Clear, gold, huge head, lots of carbonation. Aroma has the sour funk that I crave. There’s a good sourness and some oak flavors mixed in. Excellent.

Bottle. Mostly clear golden yellow with a fizzy white head. Lots of lemon zest and light funkiness in the aroma, but vinous with some light fruit undertones. Earthy and lots of minerals in the flavor. Not overly complex, but tasty. Lighter body with bright carbonation.

On tap @ Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Very clear golden color, small white head. Smell sour, brett. Tastes sour, but pretty balanced. Decent carbo that suits the beer. Medium body.
