3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A rather monotone ale. Bright nose of fresh cider vinegar and un-ripe pear mildly tempered by some sweet malt. The robust acidity never becomes too overbearing as it plays on the palate with malt fruit and a muted but substantial hop bitterness. When the carbonation works itself out this is very reminicent of a Rhone white. Well balanced, and enjoyable, excellent price for a sour. The wood seems to show in the finish as a lingering patron. 88

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very standard stereotypical looking beer gold body with a thin white cap. Aroma reminds me of white wine sour grapes with a hint of oak. Iím not sure if I like but I think I do. First sip was a horrible experience very sour and the flavour reminded me of vomit aftertaste. This is a very dry tasting beer its giving me pasties. This has lots of similarities to white wine with its sour oaky taste and sweet clean finish. Taste is light but bold. Never really had a beer taste like this before, very unique. I kind of enjoy this but not really, I canít ever see myself buying this again.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours just about crystal clear, dark golden-amber in color. A minimal, off-white head fizzes away quickly, leaving just a hazy film at the surface. A few wet spots remain behind on the glass. The nose gives of notes of sweet, caramelized nectarine, with tangy apricot and green apple tartness. Soured, woody oak comes through, complimenting the sweet-tart fruit nicely. Flavors mirror the aroma, with a lactic, oaky sourness showing alongside lightly sugary nectarine and zesty lemon peel. Itís quite acetic, much more so than any blond sour in my recent memory. Medium bodied, there is a sprite, lively carbonation that intensifies the lingering, semi-dry, acetic finish. This is a good beer, and a noticeable step up from the other Petrus brews Iíve had.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours gold that is clear and pale with a light thin head. Tart aroma with a taste to match like granny smith apples. Very light and easy to drink with an almost dry quality on the back end.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow/gold with a one-finger white head that reduces quickly to just a ring. Lacing is good but nothing special. Nose is immediately tart, clean, sour dry, light apples and toasty aromas. Wonderfully dry and tart, with a good clean brightness, with herbal and oaky notes. Yeasty, sourdough and apples finish that lingers on and on. But for the fact is 7.3%, this could easily be a favorite session beer.
