Superbe!

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Tromsdalen. Close to clear golden body, one finger-thick, white head. Fragile lacing. Ripe tart lemon nose. The flavour character is dominated by lemony tartness with a touch of oak. Tart yeasty fruitiness to the ending. Refreshing cleanser (Tromsø 21.03.2015).

Bottle exported to Canada not US, fuckers, poured in burgundy glass. Nice fine sparkle and creamy head atop gold body. Taut dry and sour aroma, notably sour and dry palate showing wood and pale tart fruit. Long hop note of bitter on finish along with almost gueuze-like resonances of sour. Mineral and herbals. A serious beer for sure.

330 mL bottle. Brilliantly clear golden with a thick cap of white head that leaves nice soapy lacing in the glass. Big rustic funk on the nose, earthy, vanilla infused barrel, some cider vinegar, woodsy hop and a little spicy phenol. A kerosene tone on the very back end. Opens with a slight malt presence and then quickly turns to heavy handed acidity. Finishes barrel tinged and even lightly bittered. Light to modest body with a creamy palate. Moderate plus carbonation and a long lingering finish that verges on oily.

Pours clear gold with a moderate white top. Aroma is tangy sourness with light grains and oak. Taste is green apple and vinegar sourness but with a nice base of grassy grains and light pine hops.

Deep golden amber, frothy head. Has the expected apple cider vinegar and balsamic aromas. Mouth puckering sourness initially - strong vinegar, only a little green apple. A welcome slightly sweet lemon taste comes through to take the edge off the sourness. Very prickly acidity on the tongue. More enjoyable than many sours I’ve had.

Best before is written 11/12/16 on bottom of back label. Pours a clean golden colour with a soapy white head, decent retention and bubbly lacing. Nice sour nose giving notes of vinegar and sweet white grapes. The sourness is most of the flavours, but a little chemical plastic and metal kind of ruin the fun in the finish. Grain lingers. Alcohol is well-hidden in the mouthfeel. Just wish the taste would be better balanced.

Pours golden. Bubbly. Aroma of vinegar and champagne. Tastes of same. Not really my kind of beer.
