3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear golden with a bubbly white head. Gentle aromas of wood, mushrooms, funk with some fruitiness to it. Light body, crisp acidic attack, low carbonation, bretty flavors with a lot of red wine barrel-like flavours. Long sour finish, with balsamic notes that are not unlike Rodenbach’s beer impressions. Interesting beer with very good drinkability.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had it out of a bottle, had a clear yellow hue, with a sweet aroma and the taste has a sour front with a dry finish.

Pours a fairly clear golden color. Tart and acetic aroma, some citrus. Big sour lactic acid flavor, light sweet malt character. One of my favorite go to shelf turds....always drinks good.

I don’t like sour ales. Didn’t know that was what I was buying. Looks great with a fluffy head. Loads of carbonation in the light amber body. I get the oak in the aroma but can now smell some of the sour coming thru. I tried it. It was sour. Not too bad for a sour. But it’s still going down the sink.

33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ April 08. Brass coloured, totally transparent. Scarce sparkle, the head is history in no time. Sharp lactic acid aroma with background of lightly fermented (home made) fruit jam. Dry, sour, fruity - apples? - quite wine-like. Light spicy finish, somewhat chalky mouthfeel.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours brassy gold, medium head that hangs around a bit. Nose is sour at first, oaky and tart smelling, funky. Interesting, in my reading of the label I hadn’t expected a wild/sour ale. Taste is pleasantly and not overpoweringly tart, a hint of sweet gives way to an acidity and tartness that could work well paired with food. Finishes with a brief sourness and crisp carbonation. This is a ’sour’ I can actually stand, not bad all around.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aromas and flavors of white vinegar and citrus are dominated by rich, lactic, buttery nuances, spice and damp old wood. Very tart and mouthwatering on the mid-palate.. With a fairly short, dry, tart finish.. That leaves a savory, nutty, woody flavor in my mouth. One of the best for the price and availability, though not a top shelf sour.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A very sweet sour. Straw colored with finger’s worth of head. Definite sour and funk aroma. Taste packs a big sweetness with the lemony tart flavor. Almost a lemonhead candy taste. Moderate carbonation makes it nice to sip slowly.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
9/15 notes. 750ml bottle pours clear bright gold into tulip with very small head. Nose is tart, oak barrel, white wine, must. Mouthfeel is clean, tartness kicks in right away. Taste is sour, oak, woody, bready, champagne, grain, ginger ale, grapes, white wine. Finish is good medium dry tart with barrel notes. Super refreshing, paired this with chili and it was great. Very nice almost wine-like beer.
