I donít like sour ales. Didnít know that was what I was buying. Looks great with a fluffy head. Loads of carbonation in the light amber body. I get the oak in the aroma but can now smell some of the sour coming thru. I tried it. It was sour. Not too bad for a sour. But itís still going down the sink.

Bottle (12oz $4.50): Pale golden color. Smallish head. Very sour, but not much sweetness. Funky aroma. Not bad.

Bottle 33cl. Slightly hazy pale amber, a lot small bubbles, small frothy off-white head, diminishes slowly to a thick layer that stays, good lacing; sour geuze-like nose, vinegar, wood, manure; rather mild medium sour en light sweet taste, unripe gooseberry; medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation, finish fresh sweetsour, hint of bitterness, bit wood; great beer.

Impressive! Sour yet fruity yet not sweet. Good aroma and although not complex in smell or taste this one is really impressive. On tap at Bru in Lake Forest, CA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Golden body, medium head. Sour aroma with geuze-like funk and fermenting apples. Dry sour taste, low sweetness. More fermenting apples in taste. Dry finish with medium sourness. Refreshing but not terribly complex.

Aroma of sour red ale. Surprisingly golden colour. First in the mouth feels like itís going to be sour and acid but in the end it turns out to be really moderate. Hint of cheese fermentation.

BiŤre acide mais son goŻt níest pas aussi acide que son arŰme. On goŻte lťgŤrement le vieillissement en fŻt de chÍne.

Light amer tinged pale beer under a thin off-white head. Good aroma intensity of ripe yellow fruit, honey, camphor, and sweet spice and dried fruit. Fresh on the palate with faint sweetness, good citric acidity, a fine tart body with small mature fruit sweetness on the midpalate and good long lingering mellow finish. Not showwy but really elegant and pleasant.

330ml bottle. Clear golden color. Medium size, white head, stays. Vinegar, apples, fruity, malty aroma. Wild strawberries, acidic, flourish, citrus lime perhaps in taste. No carbonation. Lime juice in aftertaste.

Bottle from Wine of Galilee in Tallinn. Near clear amber colour with a white top that has moderate retention and ok lacing. A very subtle and warming caramel candy aroma, some indistinct sourness in the background, that getting stronger within minutes, recalling unripe plums. Thatís my grandmaís cellar scent right there, filled with dozens of jars of jam and compote and apples slowly starting to go off, mixed with earth and dust. A whole lot more sugary sweet as itís warmed for about half an hour. Taste on the other hand is extremely sour with almost a killer green wine acidic mid-taste and finish, and a nice woody dryness. Quite fruity overall. A rather Lambic-like dustiness or what ever that is. Body medium, carbonation not excessive but accentuated by the acidity. Really dry on the palate and in finish. Canít really put this into context as I havenít had too many Sours but Iím rather enjoying this.
