3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop. Pours a pretty much clear light gold with a foamy white head and mild lacing. Nose shows a dusty, funky hop profile, but not in a bad way. Some acetic, wood, and earthy notes. Taste adds a fruity tart thing with hints of cherry skins, lemons, and leather. I kind of dig this.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Impressive! Sour yet fruity yet not sweet. Good aroma and although not complex in smell or taste this one is really impressive.
On tap at Bru in Lake Forest, CA.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma of sour red ale. Surprisingly golden colour. First in the mouth feels like it’s going to be sour and acid but in the end it turns out to be really moderate. Hint of cheese fermentation.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bière acide mais son goût n’est pas aussi acide que son arôme. On goûte légèrement le vieillissement en fût de chêne.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Light amer tinged pale beer under a thin off-white head. Good aroma intensity of ripe yellow fruit, honey, camphor, and sweet spice and dried fruit. Fresh on the palate with faint sweetness, good citric acidity, a fine tart body with small mature fruit sweetness on the midpalate and good long lingering mellow finish. Not showwy but really elegant and pleasant.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Wine of Galilee in Tallinn. Near clear amber colour with a white top that has moderate retention and ok lacing. A very subtle and warming caramel candy aroma, some indistinct sourness in the background, that getting stronger within minutes, recalling unripe plums. That’s my grandma’s cellar scent right there, filled with dozens of jars of jam and compote and apples slowly starting to go off, mixed with earth and dust. A whole lot more sugary sweet as it’s warmed for about half an hour. Taste on the other hand is extremely sour with almost a killer green wine acidic mid-taste and finish, and a nice woody dryness. Quite fruity overall. A rather Lambic-like dustiness or what ever that is. Body medium, carbonation not excessive but accentuated by the acidity. Really dry on the palate and in finish. Can’t really put this into context as I haven’t had too many Sours but I’m rather enjoying this.
