3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Fountainhead. Pours a deep brown/red. Nose has a strong cherry nose, fresh and sweet. Candied, low lacto. On tasting, taste is cherry dominant and sweet. Not artificial at all. Clean with low tartness. Reminiscent of a bigger sweeter NG Belgian Red. Good stuff overall.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Apperance: Deep ruby red, moderate white head.
Taste: Mostly sweet, some tarntness but not really sour.
Palate: Medium bodied
Overall: Easy to drink, a better sell as fruit beer, than for one looking for a sour.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: Mahogany with a thin beige/red head.
Flavor: Sour cherries, kirsch liquor and a hint of raw almond.
Palate: Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation and a short finish.
Overall: Pleasant, not overly sweet, but lacking the layers of flavor and funk in found in fruit lambics, reminds me of echt kriekenbier.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 mL bottle from Bruisin’ Ales, Asheville, NC. Dark red pour with a frothy off-white head. Pleasant aroma of tart cherry and oak that showcases the fruit but does not appear to be overwhelmingly tart. OK, so the aroma is deceptive. The taste is plenty tart but is met on the back end by oak and Earth that mellow this one out a bit. Along with the fruit, unfortunately there is a bit of artificial sweetener aftertaste. A good sour/fruit beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at Winking Lizard Crosswoods on 4/7/13. Deep red color with a medium pink and tan head. Aroma of tart cherry and Belgian esters. Malty flavor with sweet cherry character before a mildly tart finish. Petrus continues to impress.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
750mL. Quick rate: not authentic, cheap, sweet, and artificial cherry with no actual sourness. For the Lindemans Kriek crowd more than anything else. Pretty beer though.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Red colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. A bit sour, but also a chemical sweetness. Aroma of sweet cherry and candy. Too sweet for me

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a dark ruby red with fruity, cherry aromas right out of the bat. Lightly bitter taste with a bit of a cough syrup taste. A bit bitter and light tartness throughout the drink. Overall, not bad for a sour!

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a deep red-brown with a high, sticky, pale russet head. Nose is very fruity -- not much acetic to it, more of a concentrated raspberry/cranberry essence. Not as sweet on the tongue as it smells, but there’s definitely some sweetness, offset by peppery, leafy, and vegetal notes. It puts me in mind of a really good chopped salad, as odd as that may seem. Finishes long and rich, the sweetness fading. There’s a lot to this, and I’m impressed.
