COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Petrus Aged Red is constructed from a base of Double Brown Ale. 15% Petrus Aged Pale is added to provide a dry character to the brew and give it a slight sour essence. Finally the brewer adds fresh cherries, which are evident in the rich thick head. Petrus Aged Red is a perfect blend of sweet and sour with a cherry undertone which makes this brew remarkably drinkable at 8.5% ABV.

Very dark red pour from bottle at JP Burkes. Think ring of white head. The cherry taste dominates and makes this beer. Very smooth and not to dry or sweet for the style. Almost like a fruit punch. Hides the ABV incredibly. This is fantastic.

On tap @ Ölfestival 2015. Reddish amber with a tiny tan head. Fruity and almondy tones. Fruit, cherries, malt and hops. Medium to full body with a nice bitter sweet finish.

Draught at KØ15. Distinct cherry aroma. Clear deep red colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour is quite sweet. Has a good cherry note, fat but not too much. Good acid attempting to balance but of course it is still a sweet beer.

Draught, KØ15. Pours clear dark ruby / copper brown with small off-white head. Clear aroma of cherries, with some malty and slughtly bready touches. Sweet flavour of cherries, with malty and estery notes and touches of vanilla. Slightly vinous and quite sweet aftertaste. Well-balanced and clean but mot my favourite.

Barwa, ciemno-czerwona, rubinowa. Piana z czerwonym nalotem, dość sztwyna i obfita. Kożuszek utrzymuje się do końca. W aromacie dominuje wiśnia. W smaku również głównie nuty wiśniowe, zmieszane z nutami alkoholowymi. Lekka kwaskowość.

Pours an almost black red color with a strong aroma of cherries. Cherries also dominate the flavor of this beer and the sweetness of the aroma and sourness of the flavor go together very well.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear deep red, thick, long-lasting off-white head. Aromas of sour cherries, light wood spice notes, cream. Taste is cheery, sour, sweet notes there too. Chalky towards the end, but very nice and easily drinkable.

33 cl. Pour is dark reddish-brown with a small moonscape of foam on top. Luscious aroma of the freshest, sweet-tart dark cherries with cream and a touch of brown sugar. Flavor is the same great blend with just the slightest bit of spicy, grassy hop on the finish to provide a subtle balance. Medium-heavy body is definitely sweet but never sticky, with a mostly smooth medium carbonation. Very little sour in this one, but it’s dangerously drinkable with nary a trace of the 8.5%

on tap at biermarkt, ottawa. unclear copper pour, orange tint, with a creamy off-white head, good retention and lacing. spicy and fruity toasted caramel, lots of cherries, light acidity, wood, tobacco, very few tannins, light carbonation, light body - slightly watery; relatively dry and spicy-woodsy finish. comparable to its pale sister. pretty nice.
