COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Petrus Aged Red is constructed from a base of Double Brown Ale. 15% Petrus Aged Pale is added to provide a dry character to the brew and give it a slight sour essence. Finally the brewer adds fresh cherries, which are evident in the rich thick head. Petrus Aged Red is a perfect blend of sweet and sour with a cherry undertone which makes this brew remarkably drinkable at 8.5% ABV.

Bottle. Deep red/ruby, brownish colour, white head. Lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet cherries, malt and candy sugar, a bit artificial. In taste less sweet, more tart cherries, malt, some oud bruin base is noticable, sour in finish. Medium body and carbonation. In overall quite good, gentle fruit oud bruin.

If you like sour this is it! Fruity stays with you throughout the taste. Definitely a select palate of sour.

cherry and woody aroma... the taste is the mix of fruity (cherry) ale and the sour lambic fermented with wild yeast... dry bitter aftertaste...

Dark ruby, small, light pink head. Cherry aroma and flavour. Not much "sour" here, more like a fruit beer - or even a cherry coke...

Tap. Poured deep reddish brown with a pinkish head. Aroma of sweet cherries. Medium body, flavour is overly sweet and cloying.

33cl bottle form local Plus supermarket. Clear reddish brown with a medium slightly off-white head. Medium body with light to moderate carbonation. Sweet with some sour and bitter tones. Red fruits, tart, herbs and some wood. Although it starts a tad too sweet it has quite a rich flavour, not too bad at all.

Sample at Hopfest 2014. Comes reddish brown with a small pinkish head. Aroma of fruit, malt, and wood. Taste is tart cherries, sweet cherries, malt, and oak. Kind of confusing.

This is a flemish sour with cherries, but somehow the sourness got lost. What’s left is a malty beer with sweet cherries, like a fruit beer. Bummer.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Market Square Liquors - 750 ml cage corked bottle. Chestnut brown pour, soft khaki colored frothy head. Succulent aroma of sour cherries. Flavor is candy sweet with an emphasis on the cherries with just enough sour to keep it interesting. Some chocolate covered cherries in the back end. Thicj, rich nicely textured mouthfeel. Nice Memorial Day treat while cooking burgers on the grill.

Bottle: Served in a shaker: Sour red/brown my ass! This is another overly sweet fruit beer. What a waste of money! Couldn’t even finish a 33cl bottle. Fake shit! Artificial sweet red fruits and nasty bitter. Fucked up fruit beer. Bad! NEXT!
