At Epic Beer Fest 2013. Clear dark amber with a thin light beige head. Aroma has lots of syrupy cherry on the nose with a slight cough medicine tone. Flavor unfortunately reminds me of bubble soap. But luckily there’s a sweet syrupy cherry tone underneath to knock that aside. But the finish still reminds me of soap.

On tap at City Beer. Literally smells and tastes like black cherry juice. I like black cherry juice. The only problem with this is that with warmth, it edges a little into cough syrup territory.

The best cherry beer we've had, but not saying much unfortunately. Cherry is just tough for beer, too sweet. This smells and tastes like cherry jello, or black cherry soda. Not too sweet, but pretty intense. Had on tap it East Side Club Tavern in Olympia. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, shared at RBAG 2013. Beautiful garnet red colour, effervescent pinkish head. Sweet black cherry aroma dominates. You know this is going to be sweet! Dark cherry fruit, almost syrupy, saved somewhat by strong woody undertones, mild tartness, and a silky mouthfeel. Sweet yes, but I still enjoyed it. The fruit works here for me, like a malty kriek.

Serving: 330 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a dark, ruddy brown with a slight head. The nose is all dark cherries. I was surprised at the sweetness in the flavor. There is a huge dark cherry flavor to go with and a hint of sour and wood. A little sweet for my taste, but not bad.

On tap in Seattle. Fairly sweet, could use more tartness. Alcohol strength is welcomed.

Bottle - Maraschino cherries, sticky, sweet and a hit of vinegar. Maroon, cloudy and a thin pink head. Cherry syrup and some barrel sourness. Needs the right environment as it is sweet, but still nice.

This beer is EXTREMELY cherry-flavored, with a very strong cherry aroma too. I'd like to try it over shaved ice, actually. It tastes okay, but is pretty overpowered by the cherry flavor.

This poured a brown color with a reddish hue. The flavor contains some cherries and vinegar notes. The flavor is slightly sour but nothing like the regular Petrus. Some cherries and malty notes with dark fruit are present. Overall this was a pretty good beer.

Bottle @ home picked up @ Wilburs Fort Collins. Pours a fairly clear, reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Absolutely massive cherry pie aroma with a few notes of wine, vinegar, and raspberries. Fairly tart, a bit zippy, goopy woody, slightly sour cherry, tannic, cough medicine flavor with some booze on the finish. The aroma showed some promise but I was pretty disappointed with the flavor and finish.
