3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl bottle at Bierfestival Beerse. Red brown coloured beer with small off-white head and medium carbonation. Cherry oak hinted aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is rather fruity sweet oak and slight sour hinted. Nice one, though would have been better with less cherry flavor and a bit more sour taste.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from the Folsom, CA BevMo. Pours ruddy dark brown with a sort of pinkish tan head. Which didnít last long. Aroma of sour ale and cherries. I may die in bliss. Med body. Flavor is somewhat tart cherry and a not so sour brown ale. Sour, but not all that sour. But the combination is marvelous. Label states: "The key to Heaven". Close enough. What a nice surprise.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours an opaque reddish brown. Flavor components are not in balance here. Overpowering, artificial tasting cherry sweetness bulldozes any detection of tartness. Ultimately, very medicinal and artificial tasting...a big let down compared to some of petrusí other much better offerings.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sweet/tart cherries, some oak tannins. It seems too sweet and not tart enough, but I donít think the sweetness becomes cloying. Mild tartness on the exhale, with some alcohol heat.

Bottle:   Deep burgundy, reddish hues, moderate to large foamy tannish head, with a bit of a pinkish hue, nice
lacing.   Holy smokes, smells like Cherry Cola.   Sweet cherry juice up front.   Very faint tartness or barrel
aging.   Pretty damn sweet, and fairly artificial.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Really, this seems like
the New Glarus of Cherry beers in some way.   I was expecting a Sour Red/Brown, not a Cherry Fruit Beer.   In that
right its decent, a little artificial but enjoyable, but nothing about this really is sour.   Call it a Kriek Fruit
Beer and I would give it a great score, but as a Sour, nope.
