Bottle into tumbler, deep reddish hued brown color with foamy tan head. Aroma of candy cherries, liquorice and some red wine. Taste adds notes of caramel, tart sweet cherries, slight nuttiness and tannic oak. Light body, moderate carbonation, sour, sweet, dry with malty tart finish. Nice fruity sour, somewhat on the candy sweet side.

Dark and strong for the style. Rich, sour cherry flavor. Almost syrupy and maybe a little bit overdone. This is more of a sipping beer than, say, a Rodenbach which I think of as a more light and refreshing type of beer. Solid but I’ve had better sours.

I think this is a bit underrated. Perhaps the thin filmy head distracts a bit but the deep ruby color is lovely, and the spritzy nose of cherry is very nice. The flavor is well balanced. The dry sourness of petrus comes through, as does the cherry. This would be a near perfect beer but it has just a touch too much sweetness, although it’s not artificial or candy-ish. Very good stuff.

33cl bottle. Clear reddish colour with a nice off-white head. Fruit, tart and yeast in the aroma. Average carbonation and medium body. Taste is sweet and sour with some bitterness in the finish. Overall, a nice beer but... Not much my preferred style.

Deep cherry aroma. Cherry red colour with lace. On tap at world of beer charlotte. Tart with cherry juice flavour. Very drinkable. Tart mostly in the finish.

The combined taste of dark beer and cherries is quite extraordinary. Might be a bit too sour.

Had this at a fantastic tasting and had such a great time with great people and great beers! This reminded me of cheap grocery store brand black cherry soda.

On tap at the WOB. pours reddish brown with no head. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Flavor is cherry cough syrup, becomes more tart as it warms but still tough to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Verfrissend in de mond, kersen, rode bessen, licht zuurtje richting einde, beetje champagne. Op een warme dag heerlijk contrast. Aroma is subtiel, wederom kersen en vruchten en wat geboend hout.

0.33L bottle. Clear deep red with a light tan head. Nice fruit aromas. Cherry, cough syrup. Sweet, fruity flavor up front, some raspberry, but then transitions to the hallmark sourness of this style. Finishes with some residual sugars, and mildly ascerbic bitterness to go along with the sour. Full visit with a thick mouthfeel, and average carbonation. Overall, dearly representative of the style, with some nice aromas, and sweet/sour profile. Doesn’t stand out as one of the best, though.
