3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap @ ZBF 2013. Pours clear red with a small, creamy, beige film head. Aroma has lots of marzipan, cherries and light sweet malts. Medium to high carbonation, dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, malty, lots of marzipan, caramel, apple. Nice. The half’n’half blend with Liefmans Oude Kriek was to die for, though :-).

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from the Folsom, CA BevMo. Pours ruddy dark brown with a sort of pinkish tan head. Which didn’t last long. Aroma of sour ale and cherries. I may die in bliss. Med body. Flavor is somewhat tart cherry and a not so sour brown ale. Sour, but not all that sour. But the combination is marvelous. Label states: "The key to Heaven". Close enough. What a nice surprise.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
11.2oz bottle. Poured a reddish tinged amber color with an off white head. Aromas of Luden’s Cherry Cough Drops with some cherry pie. Tastes of basically the same. Artificial cherry more in the aromas, but overall sweet and candy-like.

330ml bottle (Tuulensuu, Tampere)
Lovely cherry aroma. Some sweet red/bruin notes. Beautiful smooth palate, gentle carbonation - succulent. Marascino everywhere, all the way to the late finish. Lovely full sweet malty base. No sign of 8.5% at all. This is pure indulgence. It’s desert. Anna wrote "tastes of shit", so can’t have any of the next bottle that I buy. Hahahah, joke’s on you.

2.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle @ home picked up @ Wilburs Fort Collins. Pours a fairly clear, reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Absolutely massive cherry pie aroma with a few notes of wine, vinegar, and raspberries. Fairly tart, a bit zippy, goopy woody, slightly sour cherry, tannic, cough medicine flavor with some booze on the finish. The aroma showed some promise but I was pretty disappointed with the flavor and finish.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dirty pink-cream head, medium if rather stable over spectacular garnet-cardinal red beer, clear. Childrens’ cherrysweets’ (poepekes) aroma; cherry essence dissolved in a splash of rainwater; faintly smoked. Smokiness returns somehow in the flavour. Rather than artificial, the cherryflavour strikes me as concentrated, liqueurish, if still pretty sweet. Gets drier, quite woody for an instant, before returning to yet more sweetness. Very little sour tastewise, but there is a certain acidity to be perceived. Very fruit-slick; medium bodied, ever so slightly sticky despite the quite present CO˛, tittilating. It’s not bad, but leaves me unconvinced. It reminds me above all of Rodenbach Alexander, a beer which I’ve always considered to be the best way to ruin a great Rodenbach Grand Cru.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at Mekong. Pours a clear dark red color with a thin creamy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of mild tart cherries. The taste is tart cherries, mild earth. Medium bodied, and while more tart than sweet it still comes across as candy-ish.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Poured blood red with a creamy, well-retained tan head. The aroma picked up lots of sweet, lightly-toasted cherries, oak, and almonds.. very sweet overall, but I enjoyed it. The flavor found lightly tart cherry skins and oak throughout.. pale malts and some cherry meat supported.. dry cherry skins, oak, and light oxidation on the lightly-peppery finish.. not particularly complex, but tasty. Lighter-bodied with low carbonation.. OK feel and flow, but just too sweet.. solid overall.
