If you like cherries this beer is for you. I thought the cheery flavor was fake but it isnít this beer is aged in cherries. Smells like cherries and tastes like a woodsy cherry elf brew.

Clear dark ruby pour with garnet highlights and good ring of khaki head with a slightly pinkish twinge. AMAZING aroma of dark red cherry turnovers. Doesnít even remotely come off as fake or medicinal. Very authentic. Very excellent sweettart cherry juice with lots of carbonation. Just a little bit of syrupy sweetness that I donít quite care for, but other than that... And I juat Canít believe this even has 5% alcohol much less 8! Very fantastic!

(from notes) 330 mL bottle into a pint glass at Basement Burger Bar on February 19. The pour is a deep ruby color with a dark pink head, leaving good lace down the glass. The aroma is huge on cherry. Itís delicious. There is a little sourness to it, which is well received. The flavor is just like the aroma, really sour on the beginning of the taste, The cherry tartness stays away until the back end. The mouth feel is quite good. Covers nicely, a little creamy, and the aftertaste is really, really good. There is a lingering tart cherry, with a touch of sourness

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2013 Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a dark black cherry color with a large foamy reddish tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was strong black cherry with a faint malty and bready undertone. The flavor was strong black cherry, red cherries and yeast. Long black cherry finish. Medium body. Very one dimensional but tasty.

Draft at crunchy's. bright crimson and garnet when held to the light. Dry red berry aroma. Great cherry flavor that is the right amount of sweet and tart.

pours a nice reddish brown with a quickly dissipating average tan head. This beer tastes mostly like sweet and sour cherries with a slight bit of chocolate. This beer tastes a lot like wine.

Bottle at Winking Lizard Crosswoods on 4/7/13. Deep red color with a medium pink and tan head. Aroma of tart cherry and Belgian esters. Malty flavor with sweet cherry character before a mildly tart finish. Petrus continues to impress.

This pours a reddish brown color with a very thin head of carbonation. The aroma is sweet with cherries and hints of oak. The taste is rather interest as itís not quite a sour ale and not quite a lambic either. Taste fairly good with a touch of carbonation. Still kind of a desert beer though. Not bad, I would recommend trying it.
