Petrus Blond Ale is a top-fermented beer. Brewed with pure spring water and carefully selected malts and hops. This blond beer is soft and full of flavour and preferably served cool.

The beer is not as strong has most Belgian ale that I had, but its still quite thirst quenching. The malts are crisp and clean with mild sweetness to it. I enjoy this very much.

11.3 oz bottle. Purchased in 6 pack with other Petrus beers. Hazy redish color, with thick white head. Sweetness and honey flavors. For some reason I haven’t been a huge fan of blondes, but this one wasn’t bad at all.

330ml bottle. Slightly hazy red/brown body with an orange head. Sweet and acid aroma. Flavor is a bit sweet, malty with just a little faint hint of the cellar character from Petrus oude bruin. Dry finish. Well balanced, but a bit ordinary.

11.3 ounce bottle purchased from a mixed Petrus 6 pack that was purchased at BevMo in Stockton, CA for $11 (half off). Sweet, sweet, candy, sugary aroma initially, with some musty aromas present and some light banana yeast esters. This is a VERY sweet aroma. Quite hazy honey-colored body with a large, frothy, white head present. Lightly bland, sweet maltiness to start, which becomes quite yeasty in the middle. Whoa, theres a little astringent floral funk that seems like a little speed bump, before some more lightly sweet, doughy, yeasty flavors in the finish. This is ok, but a bit strange.

(Bottled) Slightly hazy golden with a medium, firm and foamy, lacy head. Acidic, grassy-perfumy-hoppy aroma with grainy, neutral maltiness and hints of dried fruit. Sourish, slightly sweet, quite malty flavor with some iron, and honeyish alcohol in the finish. Medium-bodied, a bit foamy-carbonated but very smooth palate with slight sourish alcohol burn. At least somehow different brew: not too sweet, and with some white-wineous sourness. Quite similar to the Dubbel, but without the roastiness and with more acidity.

Bottle. Clear amber with a good offwhite head. Fruity aroma rminding me of spiced apples. Apples flavours are balanced by good hoppiness and spices towards the finish. Warming alcohol, good carbonation. A good blond.
