Petrus Blond Ale is a top-fermented beer. Brewed with pure spring water and carefully selected malts and hops. This blond beer is soft and full of flavour and preferably served cool.

very light amber pour with a nice sized off white head. Aroma was very zesty, lots of lemon mixed with some belgian sugars. Flavor is just not working for me. Pretty stale, lots of cardboard, and just no body behind it. Blah.

Sample at Global Beer Expo. Pours a pale blonde with slight haze. Nose is estery, a little fruity with a touch of bananas. Flavor is very muted, pils malt and yeast notes. Meh.

Aroma: Apples, light grains, and a touch of hay.

Appearance: Solid golden yellow body, clear, with a ton of bubbles right from the get-go. Smaller sized head 1/2" head, esp after have a couple of tripelís which had thick caps.

Taste: Very clean. Light fruity and grain notes, little in the way of noticeable hops.

Palate: Medium carbonation, nothing sticky , finish is quick and clean. Slight alcoholic burn.

Overall: Easy to drink, but a bit high in alcohol for a session beer. The one bottles was just right.

Shared this one w/SkyCop32. Pours a nice Medium golden yellow color. Minimal fizzy white head, lasted maybe a minute or two. Aromas of light spices, a touch of brown sugar, and something vegetal. Flavor is lightly sweet and hints of spiciness. Touch of citrus.

33 cl bottle, Fargo, ND, USA. Part of a post xmas mixed pack reduction, so perhaps a bit old. Deep golden colour, fantastic carbonation emanating from the centre of the glass. Frothy head, mixed aroma of old cheese and stables, perhaps some infant formula. Active carbonation, a brightness to the flavor that settles into a balanced warming sweetness and a sour finish.

Firstly, the bottle Iím drinking now is on the old side, at least a year I think, maybe more. Poured with a small to medium off white head and no lace. Head settled down to a thin cover quick. Color isnít blonde, but a medium cloudy amber with little bits of precipitate. Aroma is malty, yeasty, and fruity. Flavorís about the same. Body is decent and so is carbonation. Not bad. Think it would be better if fresher. Finish is ok too.

On tap at Gollemís Proeflokaal. Clear golden colour with a dense white head. Aroma of fruits and flowers, a bit dusty. Flavour is light sweet, fruity, flowery, light bitter and metallic finish. Light to medium bodied. Easy drinking blond beer.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Sweet and grainy milky aroma with very shy fruity notes. Sweet and minimal sour flavour, medium bodied with a soft, almost flat carbonation. Slightly yeasty grainy and pretty one-dimensional taste; moderately sweet and subtle fruity finish. Very unexciting brew. 20.I.10

Bottle. Pours a gold beer with a good head. Didnít like the aroma. Thought it was kinda weird. The taste on the other hand was good. Good belgian blonde beer. Itís time for me to try some other blonds again!

I tried this beer on December 30, 2009 at "Smokeless Joeís" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer pours a hazy medium gold colour with a 1" white head that lasts a while. The aroima was grassy malt, yeast, and some floral hop tones. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with medium-high carbonation. The flavour was grassy malt, yeast, and some sweet tones and spiciness.
