Sep 23, 2008 (330 ml bottle from Bootleggers, part of a Petrus sampler pack) Pours cloudy apricot-amber with one finger of whitish head. Aroma is a bit sweet and sourish, probably more sweet. Smells like fruit, malty rock candy, red wine, maybe brown sugar. Pretty nice. Mouthfeel soft and pretty smooth. Nicely defined weepy rings of lacing. Flavor is sweetish and fruity, perhaps touches of sour. Malt candy and brown sugar with perhaps a hint of smokiness. Finishes a little dry with a bit of cinnamon. Also has a warming alcohol presence. Really pretty good.

Aug 18, 2008 A .33L bottle from Alko shop. A little bit hazy pale yellow colour. White head. Mild hoppiness and maltiness in the taste. Slightly sour and also little bit sweetness. Some hints of raisins in the nose.

Aug 12, 2008 Pretty orange beer. Sour and honey-y. Tropical fruit bitterness that doesn’t work with the honey prevents this from being a real gem. Medium body and soft carbonation. Very drinkable.

Aug 1, 2008 One thing can be said for Petrus beers- they are almost always at least pretty to look at. This blonde lacked the spiciness that would like from the style, but was fine otherwise.

Jun 12, 2008 Burnt orange underneath a firm white froth. Forceful perfume aromatics and the sharp and musky aroma of dried apricots sink through chunky, stewed malts. Piquant acidity --made more so by sharp carbonation-- yields to caramel and drupe sweetness before a short floral and medicinal finish. Appropriately velvety and attenuated with sparse flab.
Peculiarly dank with a few sharp corners; lacks the crispness many Belgian blond ales manage.
