Gold/copper. Frothy, medium sized, cream colored cap. Softly sweet malt and earthy, lightly bitter hops and a little yeast. Simple, straightforward brew. Medium balanced body. Nice session brew.

Bottle. Been sitting around the store for a little over a year now, so I decided to give it a go. Musty and slightly dusty yeast aroma. Some malty sugary sweetness as well. Pours slightly unclear gold with a white head and lively looking carbonation. Sweet malt and slightly funky yeast on the palate. Really not that complex at all. A bit of basement funk and grassy hops but not a lot else. Medium bodied with good carbonation.

Bottle, BBE September 21st, 2007 Blond, clear body with a white, creamy head, which lasts mostly. Nose of hops and hints of light malts. Lightly to medium bodied. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter initial flavour. Moderately bitter, very lightly sweet finish. Lively carbonation. Somewhat watery but still a quite good balance in the flavour. Enjoyable beer with some bitterness.

Looking at some of the previous ratings maybe I missed something while sampling Petrus Blond. Crisp medium bodied ale with citrus undertones, and light bitterness. Maybe my opinion was tarnished on this Ale when I saw the hip & trendy label. I thought it destined Petrus to an average Belgian ale.
